Anyone here recent? Usually you can see a guy dominate in high school and say yep, that guy will be in the NFL one day. But is there any superstars in the NFL that didn't dominate in high school or college that exploded in the NFL?

Cortland Finnegan - he was a late bloomer and grew a few inches while at Sanford.

quote:Not recent but Bart Starr went on to become a superstar in the NFL. Did ok in high school, but played at Bama under Bama's worst football coach. Starr was injured his junior year and rarely played. Starr's senior year, Whitworth only played 2 seniors and Bart wasn't one. He sat on the bench.

Romo. Watched him play in high school. He was a decent athlete and was the best athlete on the field in all of his games, but never would have stated he would be an NFL QB.
Just one of those late developers.

Patrick Willis was a 2 star. Ole Miss was his only big offer.

I don't think it was the shitty film as it was growing up in the middle of nowhere.
Crawford, Mississippi has a little over a 1000 people.

Aneas Williams-Recently selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Southern University-Baton Rouge. Only played ONE season of football. Very average to below average player from New Orleans in high school.

Marques Colston, he has better stats than Brandon Marshall, drafted in the same class yet he's never made a pro bowl

Yup. He transfered HS for his senior year and he had like 8 catches his senior year of HS. I think he was still the top rated TE though.
At Arizona he set just about every school record possible for catches by a TE but he missed his whole junior year before declaring for the draft, so he only has two years of college film.

Not superstars, but I think Schaub and Matt Cassill never started in college. They turned out to have solid NFL careers.
