He had 24 total TDs to 8 INTs last year which would be a major upgrade for us. Having a mobile QB with our terrible OL would help. I could see him doing well in a run-first spread like us or Auburn that doesn't ask him to make difficult throws.

Morris was still OC at Clemson when Bryant signed there, right? Would be a great pickup. I hope Mullen at least attempts to get him.

What he did with Clemson talent vs a ACC schedule is probably not going to transfer directly to Arkansas talent vs a SEC schedule

He would start at Ark and Tenn
He would have to compete at Fla and A&M
If Stidham leaves he would likely start at Auburn and then someone from Auburn will bolt
He would start at Mizzou
He would start at Ole Miss and compete at Miss St
He would start at Vandy

OK, I didn't know your coach is his former oc. Now it makes sense.

He is not as good as Jalen Hurts. Jalen is a better runner and passer than Bryan.

Not so sure about that. Both played against each other in the Sugar Bowl and Bryant played against a better defense. Bryant looked like the better player. Jalen is an overrated runner. I'd honestly take Bryant right now. I'd take Jalen from 2016 if that were possible...Jalen in 2018 has zero confidence.

National chatter is about Arkansas, FSU, and Auburn for the most part. Have heard Florida mentioned as well. He'd be a great fit for Mullen

Places I want to watch Kelly Bryant play next year AND could need a QB:

1. South Carolina
2. Auburn
3. Penn St
4. Oregon
5. Oklahoma

Rumors will begin swirling simply based on what this says.

He’s Jalen Hurts with a nice deep ball.

Sounds like a talent that could take a team to back-back NCG

He's not that good. He'd be nothing more than a middle of the pack SEC QB. He averaged fewer yards per game than Bentley last year.

SCAR is one of the places Hurts is considering for next year. So who would beat out whom?

You obviously haven't been paying attention. Their QB is about the only decent thing about their program.

You should look at their completion % for 2017.

vs Ranked Teams 2017

Kelly Bryant
60.1% completion
6.1 YPA
3 TD / 3 INT
113.96 QB Rating

Jalen Hurts
54.2% completion
7.1 YPA
5 TD / 0 INT
130.69 QB Rating

His completion % is higher because a large percentage of his throws were quick screens/slants/screens.

He’s an average QB. I don’t see the big deal either

I've heard this from several places now. Talent wise Jalen all day. He's used to tGrind of tSEC. East would be a breeze compared to tWest.

Now if we're talking from the vantage point of the upstate of SC setting itself on fire from epic rioting, beating Clemson with their own QB that they basically encouraged to exit stage left would be more fun than I can adequately put into words.
