The problem isn't he disagrees with posts. He only responds in a flaming manner. UW is just terrible.

Oh I will definitely go along with you on that. No argument here.

He was good but most of the credit still goes to Sark... who actually calls the plays.

But having a well developed QB made those plays that Sark called possible.

Also, if that was a backdoor stab at your ex-OC and what his playcalling ability will be at Bama, you obviously didnt see the playcalling from our last OC, because some of the worst posters on this board would be better playcallers than McElwayne.

I have such a problem with the McElwayne bashing. The guys game plan was nearly flawless in the NC vs. LSU. His offenses were a part of two NC's. I realize the D in 2011 was a huge reason, and the struggles against LSU in the first game was frustrating as a fan. However, Mc deserves credit for the two NC's just as much as the next coach. Remember at the end of the day Saban rules that house, and to the departing coaches credit they don't share secrets. Probably a part of their contract...

Murray is more of a balanced QB than our typical, run of the mill prototypical QB we usually have.

And I'd prefer the normal QB to a Vick or so but I'd take RG III over Murray any day

I have been waiting 4 yrs for a drop back pro stlye qb! The reason I pose this question.. Are you worried about a statue in the pocket getting flustered by the great D linemen in the SEC?

In all seriousness, he might be the dumbest person on the board. That is quite the accomplishment considering some of the special ed cases we have around here.

McElwayne was a great OC, dont get me wrong. He was just a TERRIBLE 3rd down and red zone playcaller. We scored a lot in the redzone, but it was more to do with Trent's ridiculous athletic ability and less to do with McElwayne's plays.

In contrast, he is one of the best 1st down playcallers I have ever had the privilege of watching. Seeing the situations he put defenses in on first down was entertaining in itself. But he got the deer in headlights syndrome and shite the bed most every time they got into the redzone.

3rd down came down to 2 plays that bailed him out constantly. The screen to Julio when he was there and the dump pass to richardson. He got the ball into his freak athletes hands close to the line of scrimmage and let them get the first down with their athletic ability. If he hadnt had players like that to lean on in those situations, his 3rd down numbers would be absolutely terrible because in most 3rd down situations where he didnt run those 2 plays, we were punting the ball on the next down.

I want to say pocket passer, but I would take Cam Newton over Andrew Luck for my college team. Is Andrew Luck the equivalent to Cam Newton as the other style of QB? (I really didn't watch enough of Andrew Luck to get a feel for how good he actually was)

Washington has won 31 games since 2004. One season they went winless, another they won one game.

That's a fine program they have up there that also showcases a track around their football field.

Prototypical QB, although hopefully with some running ability (like a 4.7 or 4.8) to take some easy yards if they're given and to escape the pass rushers. It was painful watching Mallett try to scramble with his cement clown shoe

In a perfect world I would want a smart mobile QB, however knowing how rare that combo is I'd probably opt on the side of caution and go with a proto type.
