Georgia Tech has 5 SEC football championships and Tulane has 3. Georgia Tech won their 5 championships over a 32 year period and Tulane over 34 years. The contenders are listed below. I'll start the clock over for the existing schools and give you 50 years and you start off with your current number of championships. Which ones have a shot to pass Tulane? Which ones can pass Georgia Tech?
Kentucky - 2
Mississippi State - 1
Arkansas - 0
South Carolina - 0
Vanderbilt - 0
Missouri - 0
Texas A&M - 0
Bonus question - Will some Georgia Tech or Tulane fan be able to troll with this same post and 7 teams in 25 years?

Bonus Question #2 -
Sewanne was a member of the SEC from 1932 to 1940. Which current members will continue to equal Sewanne's zero SEC football championships in the next 50 years?
Vanderbilt? Arkansas? South Carolina? Missouri? Texas A&M?

Half of those teams will win a conference championship before tech wins another one.

All those teams, since ga tech has been really irrelevant since 1990

Your welcome, let me know when you guys become on par with the upper echelon teams. Uga has won more bcs games, top ten finishes, and more top ten rankings. Uga owns the butterflies of ga tech

Oh and I read somewhere once that it took Kentucky into the 90's to equal GT in conference games won.
Then entered at the same time. Tech left in 1963 I think.
I don't remember the year and it isn't easy to find but it was something like that.

Those championships were during segregation so they really don't count.

I don't think so, in fact, that would be impossible

Speaking of which: Auburn fans like to think that AU has a long history of SEC championship teams, but Auburn was tied with Georgia Tech up until 2004. Ga Tech hasn't been in the SEC since 1964 or thereabouts.

???? If you want to talk about money, you should pull one of the numbers at one of the gas stations...for the lottery. This is a football board. Dont let money make you. Remember that

Ga Tech returning to the SEC and building on that total is more likely than any of those scrubs getting to 5.
