Photos of Bryant in his first year at Alabama (1958) show him with a script A ball cap.

This image from the 1966 Arkansas coaching staff doesn't show the script A on them

I couldn't find any pictures from the 1970's showing the modern script either with Ark.

As has been shown pretty convincingly, Alabama was using that iconic script "A" for at least 55 years on merch

I dont know if our A has ever been anything but a baseball logo. I have a relative that played baseball for the hogs in the 80's. I'll ask him sometime if they used the 'A' back then.

Bamma was proudly first with the mullet or, if you will, rat tail on the A. Don't know about Arky, but Atlanta script A does not have a mullet.
Somehow seems so fitting...

I know we were using it in the 70's because the CWS team was wearing script A hats that season.

Damn, kind of disappointed in this thread. I was hoping to read a complete show. Figured this would bring out the cards from West teams.
Damn, do I need to start a thread bitching about how LSU doesn't play any good teams from the East this year?
Eta: Or is the shitshow in the JJ thread?

Is #12 a manager? Only him and the guy with no cap have Arkansas going down the middle.
Yea, kind of an odd place to put the numbers, but I actually kind of like it. Do you know when the picture is from?
