I think Hoops will definitely get better with some of the coaching hires brought on board (Howland, Barnes, White), which I thought was an issue. FB is definitely #1.

I have to agree the future looks brighter for basketball. Its been the redheaded step child for the SEC for years now. Good teams have come through the conference but only Kentucky, Arkansas, Mizzou, and Florida have ever really cared about the sport. That is changing with the SEC Network putting more games out there.

Football is far and away the sport we care most about. It is the air the SEC breathes. But in terms of complete dominance track and field has been insane for the SEC for a couple of decades now. In one stretch we won 16 out of 17 championships in one of the classifications. Even when a non-SEC team wins we are usually the runner ups.

One would expect track and field to be dominated by the warmer areas. Track and field at the high school level up in the upper Midwest is a complete after thought. Very few people even train for the sport.

In the south you can train for track and field for the majority of the year.

When I have my first child and s/he ends up to be athletic, I will move south so s/he can train outside much easier.

Far and away we are the best track and field conference in America. To the point where someone other then an SEC team winning a title is noteworthy.

This is the correct answer, I imagine. Since 1992, current SEC teams have won 19 men's and 16 women's outdoor titles and 19 men's and 12 women's indoor titles. That's 70% of the possible titles in that timeframe.

It's also been multiple schools with success in the sport as Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, LSU, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas A&M all contributed national titles to that total number.

I don't follow it a lot, but it pretty clearly has to be gymnastics right?

9 out of the last 10 national champions. 3 out of the top 6 this year, and 4 out of the top 6 last year.

Equestrian. In the 14 years since it has been a recognized collegiate event, UGA, USC, Auburn, and A&M have won every national title (With UGA winning 6).

That's not entirely true. I think Tennessee should be added to that list. Outside of finishing twelfth in attendance this year, we've been top 5-10 in attendance in the nation for over a decade. Kentucky being the only school in the SEC that has had better attendance numbers in the same time frame. Tennessee is definitely a football and basketball school from a fan base/ butts in seats perspective (despite the lack of history up until the last 10 years)
