?? We beat you at your place last year with a first year starter at QB. Offense will be more experienced and we have the advantage of playing at home this year. Not saying it won't be a good game, but I think our chances of beating ya'll are better for this season than they were a year ago and we won that game.

Just curious about this, but why would a team need a bye week the second week of the season? Just seems kinda strange to have a bye that early. It does give the tide a big edge going into the aTm game though and i'm betting on them to take full advantage of it by soundly beating aTm this fall.

Arkansas use to have a bye week in the 2nd week every year, it sucked, it had to do with then or waiting until the 11th week to schedule one due to the SEC schedule given to us and having to schedule OOC opponents, just how it would always work out.

So you saw us play a team, take a week off, then play Bama.

When Petrino came in, he moved the by week towards the middle of the schedule and Long was able to get UGA on the schedule where I bye week was the first couple of years.

But to answer your question, in our case the SEC schedule was always blamed for the bye being in the 2nd week of the season.
