I wonder if this oc will have the balls to tell him only 1 qb is going to play.

I've heard this "loyalty" argument regarding Les frequently over the last few years, but I was wondering if anyone ever bothered to check and see if maybe Miles just isn't all that bright in certain areas. Maybe it's like how some people kill at analogies but have poor spatial reasoning -- maybe Miles is great at lots of stuff, but can't tell the difference between a terrible quarterback and a good one without flash cards and kick to the nuts as negative reinforcement every time he says, "Gosh, I bet that Jennings kid will complete a pass if we just trust him"?

you do know vandy trotted out a qb that couldnt beat out jennings as a true frosh rt?

And if Les was truly loyal, then i dont see why Harris would have started sooner than any qb at LSU in over 20 years. The coaches made the rt decision last year after the auburn game.

You do know he spent a rs season there, they usually arent splitting reps in practice. He spent 3 years at LSU. but somehow he was made at UGA? No all of his big time college experience came from playing under Les Miles.

With their recent history of putting out All-SEC QBs, do you think Mett would have developed at a rate equal to, greater than, or less than what he did at LSU? I'm willing to bet its not the least of those options.

I dont really know much about ugas qb situation, they usually recruit well so they have that going for them. But id have to say Vandy in the east, Ole miss in the west. But it also isnt way out of line to think uga could have worse qb play than tenn, usce, mizzou and uf out of the east.

We are in much better shape than USCe and UF.

UT and Mizzou would get the nod at QB over us simply due to experience (though I think it's safe to say our RB and OL situation is better than theirs). Overall, we have plenty of talent at the position but inexperience mixed with Schottenheimer taking over has things a little unclear ATM. If Bobo were still the OC, it'd be Ramsey. Otherwise, Bauta appears to be playing the smartest while Park seems to be the most all around talented. We'll see in August who has put it all together coming out of the summer.

We have two who could start for any of those schools

Why two? Let me guess, recruiting rankings. In that case Alabama's quarterback situation should be stellar this year with two four stars and one five star.

Until LSU proves its QBs have significantly improved--and this can only happen by results on the field--the Tigers QB situation has to be the worst in the SEC. Why? Because LSU with a good QB is 10-2, 11-1: without 7-5.

We should be okay if Coach Mason would just pick a damned starter and stick with him! The revolving door strategy never works.

That would very likely help IMMENSELY. The revolving door was so extreme last year that it was actually embarrassing. All that said, it will be hard to replace Patton Robinette. He was the QB y'all needed - pure gamer.

I wish I could un-watch that game Harris had against Auburn.

SON-OF-A.....dammit. Y'all might have noticed I haven't been around much these last 2-3 months. I've been extremely busy and haven't had time to follow any sports that weren't headline news.

I did not know Patton had quit until your puzzling post sent me to Google.

Dammit. Dammitdammitdammit.

Sigh.

OMG. I'm sorry to be the one to tell you that. I liked Patton (except for when we played) because he was a local kid and true gamer.

He was. Coach Mason honestly should have given the starting job to him straight up. He had started to get his legs by the end of the 2013 season (much to Tennessee's consternation )

Oh well. McCrary has potential, I think, and I have some hopes for Stankavage. His name alone makes him awesome.

Hey Driskel and Muschamp are gone.

I say UF's QB situation looks way better now.

You could have had Manning back there with Air Bud, y'all still would've have been fricked.

Explain 2010 and 2012?

No we were 8-5 last year not just because of QB. The first half of the year, the defense was the worst I've seen since 2008. Sure you could say games against Arky and Bama were lost because of QB play, but there were also 4 dropped passes in that Bama game (2 would have picked up 1st downs on third downs), and don't forget the penalty on Alexander that took us off the goal line.

No, 2014 was a combination of inexperienced WRs, bad QB play, OL adjusting to new scheme (first half of the season), bad defense (at least the first half of the season), and the early musical chairs with the running backs.

2015 LSU with average QB play is 10-2, with good QB play, undefeated.

LSU has had 2 starting qbs in the league the last few years, and had a former 1st round draft pick not to long ago.

How about Bama?

It's really kind of funny. Harris wasn't ready as a true freshman last year...no doubt...but that doesn't mean he isn't highly talented and that he won't have a good/great season this coming year.

Auburn. Starting a QB that could not beat out the 8-5 undrafted cat. Is that how we play this game?

Easy answer is LSU, but I don't like OM's either.
