This has got to be wrong. I don't think Auburn has 24 NCAA appearances.

Either that, or their wiki page is not accurate.

There is no wiki page at all for Ole Miss basketball.

Damn, I didn't realize that Auburn's basketball history was that good. My bad.

OK, looks like the Barn won the SEC tourney in 1985. That's the only time.

They don't. They've only had 8. Someone added some extra years to their wiki page.

Barkley's last season (82-83 I think) was AU's first NCAA tourney appearance.

We lost to the Spiders of Richmond, IINM.

I think tonight's 'contest' with UTee pretty much cemented our hold on that 'worst SEC basketball program' trophy - for this season, at least.

Two good years out of 100. They only have 14 NCAA appearances.

Way back in the 40's, 50's, 60's and most of the 70's, only the conference regular season champion went to the NCAA's. State had two or three seasons in the 60's where we won the SEC but were not allowed to play in the tourney because of our segregationist governor and state government. We had to sneak out of the state (against the governor's orders) to play in the 1963 tournament.

Georgia has always been pretty skanky since I've been watching. OM, AU, and SC have at least had decent years. I can't remember the last time GA was even decent, not counting that lucky SEC tourney win.

The young kids today don't remember that, at all. As the years pass, our recruits literally were in diapers when Corliss, Scotty and Corey won the big one. What took years to build now has the marketability of a Skytel Pager. This doesn't dismiss that NJ is a moron however...

Auburn has talent but no coach to do anything with the talent. LEBO MUST GO!
