Show me an Ole Miss fan that brings cowbells to games.

based on what you're saying here and in the post above, you just confirmed my contention of Ole Miss fans and it isn't just something limited to my group of friends. I promise you Ole Miss has just as many redneck fans as State does. The fact that they bring cowbells to games is largely irrelevant. 50k people at a football game isn't an accurate representation of the other 3 million people in Mississippi. Most of the people that pay to go to football games every week are not in the same class of people as the derelicts around the southeast that identify themselves as fans of an SEC school. I'm talking about the people you see at a gas station in a rusted out truck from 1991 that has no muffler and are wearing jeans with their favorite pit stained nascar t-shirt and have a sticker from their favorite team in the back below their Southern by the grace of God decal. We all have them in comparable numbers per capita

I didn't stutter. You are basically saying State has more rednecks than Ole Miss and this is exemplified because they bring cowbells to football games. I can assure you that not everyone who brings a cowbell to a football game is a redneck, nor are the people who attend the games an accurate representation of the entire fan base. I am saying that a fanbase is not limited to who attends football games. The majority of people who identify themselves as a fan of a school don't attend football games period. And given the makeup of the State of Mississippi as a whole, I don't see how anyone could say with a straight face that either school is more redneck than the other. IMO, this all boils down to Ole Miss thinking they're better than State and not being able to see the forest for the trees. There is not a single fanbase in this conference, except Vandy, that is not largely comprised of rednecks. That is just, for better or worse, a characteristic of this region of the country.

No. I've already said that Ole Miss has it's fair share of rednecks. My point is that MSU fans are just typically more redneck.

and you based that on bringing cowbells to a game other than that, how can you say that?

because I've been to Mississippi enough times to know that's bullshite. I grew up about 15 minutes from the border of Tennessee and Mississippi and my family has owned land in Mississippi my entire life (about 20 minutes from Oxford, no less). I've spent more than enough time in that State to make a reasonable assessment.

The thread title should be "after Bama which fanbase is the most redneck."

Redneckness between us SEC fans is akin to virtue amongst whores. I don't think it really matters

nah...you're right....bringing farm equipment to games and bringing your own stands from the Sanford & Son set doesn't make you more redneck.

That's totes normal.

Missouri absolutely has rednecks. They’re just those methed out yankee rednecks without southern accents, so they’re hard to recognize.

Btw hanging plastic chandeliers on a $50 tailgate tent is the epitome of redneck.

If we was in a prison cell together, I would put on mop on your head and sell you to Bubba for a carton of cigarettes.

And obviously you're the only person to ever spend any amount of time within the state of Mississippi so your opinion trumps all.

It's not like there might be someone between the two of us that...I don't know....actually lived in Mississippi for a significant time.

I'd hate for that to be true because then that would really wreck your dumbshit logic.

One school’s fight song is a bluegrass song about moonshine.

Which I’d never publicly admit if I actually liked it.

Good point.

They had the first black qb in the sec which isn’t something the most red neck fanbase would do.
