The 1939 Tennessee team didn't allow a single point in the whole regular season, so probably them. Even if college football has changed a lot in 76 years, that's really impressive.

How bout that postseason?

Well your team already has 6 crystal balls in the practice facility, maybe they'll spare one.

2008 Florida, 2009 Alabama, and 2011 Alabama.
2011 LSU (although they don't fit your stipulation) would probably beat basically every SEC team since the turn of the century besides the above three. And, I mean, they could obviously beat those three teams more than a couple times out of ten.
2010 Auburn honorable mention just bc Cam is god

The 2011 Bama team was the best I've seen. The nite they beat LSU was as good as it gets.

Remember when you were an LSU fan?

No way, they didn't finish. SouCal whacked them 14-0 in the Rose Bowl. They seem to have a problem in the RB, SouCal whacked them again in the 1945 RB, 25-0 that time.

This is the correct answer.

Yeah, but they beat UK on a last minute FG.

It wasn't just the Rose. Neyland went 2-5 in bowls (including 4 shutouts).

Not Florida 1996, Tennessee 1998 or Auburn 2010. I'd probably remove Alabama 2009, also.

Sure they could. Clemson qb missed a wide open receiver for the win.
