Yeah I think Saban misses LSU more than LSU misses him.

Louisiana >>>> Alabama not even close really.

Which Saban are we getting?

2000-2004 Saban =/= 2007-2013 Saban

Fulmer, Mack Brown, and Bobby Bowden actually won a national championship.

LSU fans have always been emotionally unstable.

It is a good thing on a saturday night after a few whiskeys with a big opponent in town. It's a bad thing on a message board after a win that wasn't dominating enough for the football savants of the tiger rant.

Louisiana is a passionate place and football is an emotional sport. It's really that simple and has been the case since before Nick L. Saban was even born.

agree ... always liked lsu football/fans and their passion for the purple/yellow ...

He was asked to change up his assistants after an awful season and refused so he got fired. At the time, he wasn't in the best health and recruiting really suffered because of it.

Every LSU fan alive would trade Miles for Saban, though few will admit it.

He can come back to visit, but only during morning hours when he's still lucid.

I think LSU lost the most with Saban (You could argue UF with either Meyer or Spurrier), but also came the closest to matching what they lost with Miles.

LSU would be great with Saban back, but the difference between Saban and Miles is much smaller than some of these other schools have between their current and former coaches.

tl;dr Saban was great, but Miles is good and so LSU shouldn't be in the discussion.

Agree. Had he not left for Auburn I honestly think we would have won the west a few times by now. Downside is we probably wouldn't have gotten Eli.

I'm not really sure about Meyer because 2010 really did a number on him. How much would he actually have left by now?
