Tennessee & Fulmer
They haven't been the same since he left... Terrible coaching hires in Lane Kiffin and Derek Dooley, and they are struggling to make even the slightest impact in the SEC East. Let's see if Butch Jones can change that.

LSU & Saban
I place LSU last because they have been winners even without Nick Saban. He would be an upgrade over Les Miles, but they can win regardless.

Louisiana is a passionate place and football is an emotional sport. It's really that simple and has been the case since before Nick L. Saban was even born.

You miss him bad, and it shows.

if he came back you'd go 5-7, 8-5, 10-3, 11-2 in short order and you know it.

Nope.
We're good.
Sumlin currently has a higher winning % than did Coach Bryant when he was at TAMC.

This roster is because of Petrino. Flashy offense with no recruiting won't last longer than 2-3 years. We'd be screwed even if he came back tomorrow
Meh, Bobby Petrino knew how to win with the slightest of talent...and even if the talent is minuscule compared to other SEC teams, he still finds ways to win. His Achilles heel was getting coaching for a competent defense, and even then, he still put a team into the Sugar Bowl. He's just a damn good coach.

Yeah throwing it 30 times a game with Brandon Allen and no defense would work out tremendously

Chavis is still relevant and so is Cutcliffe at Duke.

Fulmer = Ace recruiter
Cutcliffe = great OC
Chavis = great DC

I miss those days in the 90's. OC Randy Sanders fricked everything up.

It's amazing how much the self esteem of so many people can be tied up in one person like Alabama fans are with Saban. When he was here we questioned him just as much as we do Miles but y'all worship him like he's Kim Jong Ir. It's weird but judging from the time i've had to spend in that state I can see why. Alabama is America's North Korea.

There would be growing pains, but Bobby Petrino did wonders with Casey Dick, and then had Ryan Mallett and Tyler Wilson waiting in the locker room. I'm sure he could make Brandon Allen into some type of threat.

It wasn't a slight at your guy, Bear.
He did amazing things at Alabama--clearly where he was meant to be.
Some of us bloom better went planted in different spots.

Agreed he's a top 5 game day coach IMO. But we havent seen if he can sustain a program yet. He evaluated Tyler Wilson well and had Mallett transfer in which was a little lucky, but his other QB recruits turned out to be busts and two of them transferred. For a QB guru he didn't recruit them that well. Once the 4 stars from his first few classes were gone we felt it

Tennessee doesn't miss Fulmer, especially not now that Jones is here. I DID miss Fulmer and didn't like how it all went down but I'm in the minority online and probably in the 50% for IRL fans.
