Y'all probably would have been on the radar and not surprised bama. Kind of like MSU in 2014

they still would have been exhausted from having to play LSU the week before

Easy for us. 2012 Alabama SECCG. We would (probably) go on to dominate Notre Dame and a lot would change....I think.

The Stoernover game against Tenn. in 98. It's possible we get an NC that year. The tread came off after that day.

Really? In the greater scheme of things that game really didn't mean that much. Florida wasn't going anywhere anyway. I understand the embarrassment, but it meant nothing. They just caught you by surprise.

Congrats on your 40000th, by the way!

Probably recruiting gotten better. More success? General feel inside the program. Admin giving more support for the football program. Al guesses, of course. We'll never know.

The only thing I can make of your response is that you wanted Richt gone so badly, you would forgo a National Championship to get that accomplished?

For State I'd change the 2000 Arkansas game. It was a cold, November snowy, sleeting day in Starkville. State is 7-2 and Arky is 4-5. We win and we take the SEC West crown for the 2nd time in 3 years. We are clearly the better team and dominate the first 3 quarters, but we only lead 10-0. Arkansas all of a sudden came alive to tie the game 10-10 late in the 4th. We get the ball and drive for the GW FG. I think it was like a 43 yarder, but we had a dang good kicker in Scott Westerfield. I can't watch, so I turn my back, and all I hear is a thud and another quick thud. The FG is blocked and we lose 17-10 in OT as we are stopped short on 4th and goal from the one. I think this one game caused us to tailspin into almost a decade of futility and eventually led to the Croom hire. I'd love to see how and if things would changed had we won.

Obviously the loss to Florida State in 2013 Natty is first choice but I would also say our regular season loss to USCw in 2003 was huge. IF we win that game, we probably get a shot at the National Championship game in 2004.

Not sure they would have left us out if we would have beaten them the year before.
