Louisville hiring Petrino.

And it's not even close.

From a winning side...

AU made the better Hire.

From an ethical side AU made the worst hire, but it close .

So AU is better off. Just wonder if players will come to AU, it's different than football.

The pair really should be united. How about Gus to the Dallas cowboys and Petrino to Auburn next year?

You live in Atlanta and you are gonna say anybody is more unethical than Bobby petrino?

You really think what Pearl did was worse? I don't condone lying but lying about a BBQ is not comparable to opening up an entire university to liability because you can't act like an adult, IMO.

At least Auburn women's hoops fans will have something to look forward to - a shirtless, sweaty, chest painted fan running down the concourse.

Hiring a coach with any NCAA baggage is a desperation move. The guy obstructed NCAA investigators and lied to the committee. Take off the blinders...

As opposed to obstructing law enforcement, lying to them, and your school, as well as other things?

Auburn hiring Bruce Pearl is more similar to Alabama hiring Nick Saban than it is to Louisville hiring Bobby Petrino.

(Not that I'm equating Auburn basketball with Alabama football or Bruce Pearl with Nick Saban)

What's so bad with either hire. Louisville football and Auburn basketball are second run programs. It's well worth the risk.
And Auburn more than has the money to pay and keep him if it does work out. It it doesn't, and if he puts you on probation. OK, you suck again, but at least you were trying to win.

Nonsense rule that I'm guessing gets broken every day hundreds of times across the country. That rule needs to go away. Yeah, he lied. The damn rule encourages lying. And his punishment was just ridiculous.

Meanwhile, Petrino hires his mistress for a do-nothing job with a good salary, embarrasses the entire state, and is back in a top-tier position w/ his only punishment being that he was fired. He should have gone to prison for that. There's no comparison.
