No complaints here. I'm all about some good football conversation. Informative thread.

South Carolina - Christian Owens, WR, TE
I'm excited to watch him partially because he was a one time UGA commit, and I'm interested to see what we lost here. Owens is a big target at 6-5 with good strength for his frame, and the ability to make some spectacular catches. Owens being an early enrollee was huge because it allowed him to get in the college weight room a little bit earlier and fill out his frame. He should be an early contributor for the Gamecocks next season.

He's got a shot in the redzone plays, but I don't know how much we'll see him next year. From what I've read we've been working with him on speed, not just his quickness and straigtline speed, but learning the speed of the game at this level.

IMO, WR Jalen Christian has the best shot of getting PT next year. The info I read suggests that he has the greatest potential out of the incoming offensive players to see the field the most this coming season. He's a tremendous athlete and was the best WR/ATH in MD last year.

However, the player that I think is going to have one of the biggest impacts on the offensive side of the ball is RB/WR AJ Turner AJ had a tremendous Jr Season and got an invite to The Opening, but they had an injury there that held him out his Sr Reg Season. He came back for the playoffs and dominated. He has the highest football IQ I've seen from one of our recruits since Pharoh Cooper, and his athletic ability is outstanding.

Thanks for the good post.

For Arkansas, which is the only school I can comfortably cast an opinion on...

Reed is a good call, as we have lacked a deep/speed/endzone threat for some time. However, I think I'm most anxious to see Austin Cantrell. Big dude that'll most likely be a tight end/h-back. Incredible athleticism and speed for his size.

Nothing against ridley but don't yall think he has to put some weight on first. Just cause he will play doesn't mean he should play. For instance Tony brown wasn't quite ready but he was your best option.

Not sure if he needs it or not, I'm sure the coaches are smart enough to determine whether he is ready.

Why do you think TB wasn't ready last year? Did he need more weight? Not fast enough or strong enough? He seemed very physically gifted IYAM. Didn't LSU start some freshman DBs recently? Seems like WR and Db are two positions that elite talent can always contribute early. Also, Bama had other options besides TB but after a few injuries he was better than the other guys even with their experience advantage. I don't think he was used wrongly or wasn't ready.

This nice well thought OP only goes 2 pages. A thread with Phat Phil posting bullshite 247 SEC championship odds is at 7. And you people say you want to clean up the rant.

I'm not going to lie and say we didn't want Drew Richmond, but its pretty damn difficult to start in the SEC at LT or RT for that matter as a true freshman. It can be done (see Tunsil) but it takes a very special player who doesn't feel the need to follow his high school girlfriend to college. Like his mom said, you don't take sand to the beach.

Good read and likely the best thread I've read here in a really long time. Wasn't aware of some of the guys so they're def. on my radar now.

Nice work

I know it's difficult, but Tennessee is definitely a place where he might actually be able to start. A lot of it will depend on how he looks over this fall and summer.

I agree on the Murray kid at TAMU. He has an incredible highlight tape and he was playing best competition in high school.

Arkansas - Dominique Reed, WR
Reed is a very physical receiver, who has pretty good speed for his size (6'4", 190). Being a physical receiver is huge for Arkansas because run blocking is such an essential part of their needs at WR and Reed should be able to help in that area. He also does very well at high pointing the ball, and should be more physically ready as a JUCO player than most of the other recruits coming in, although I do expect Will Gragg to be a good run blocking tight end for the Hogs next season. Bielema definitely did a good job nabbing Reed away from the Horns and Tigers.

I agree that Reed should help in the WR department along with Pettway.

Biggest recruit Im excited about is Jemario Bell, DE. Kid has the frame, work ethic, and all he knows how to do is win. He's helluva an athlete as well

IMHO, you hit it right on the head with Dominique Reed.

Although coming off a redshirt, therefore not fitting your 'incoming' criteria, I am equally excited to see what Jojo Robinson can do, if he can get his shite together over the summer. Has a way of finding the doghouse.

It's between Drew Richmond and Preston Williams. If Williams gets healthy, he's gonna explode onto the SEC scene.

^This BUT if we are talking just incoming recruits and not necessarily freshmen then it's hands down Alvin Kamara.
