Which incoming offensive recruit on each team are you most excited to watch next year?

For me, it's:

Alabama - Calvin Ridley, WR
As talented as a player as I think Damien Harris will be, he probably won't see a ton of action next year and WR is a spot where freshmen will be able to come in and contribute. Ridley has an incredibly impressive burst of speed, and does a very good job of reaching the ball at its highest point. He gets off the line very quickly, and has a very good juke move in the open field. Saban won't put up with some of the showboating that Ridley got away with in high school, so if he cuts down on that, he has the potential to be a great contributor next year for the Tide.

Arkansas - Dominique Reed, WR
Reed is a very physical receiver, who has pretty good speed for his size (6'4", 190). Being a physical receiver is huge for Arkansas because run blocking is such an essential part of their needs at WR and Reed should be able to help in that area. He also does very well at high pointing the ball, and should be more physically ready as a JUCO player than most of the other recruits coming in, although I do expect Will Gragg to be a good run blocking tight end for the Hogs next season. Bielema definitely did a good job nabbing Reed away from the Horns and Tigers.

Auburn - Jovon Robinson, RB
The #1 rated JUCO recruit from last year, Robinson has incredible power and a great cutback move that reminds me a lot of Jonathan Williams. Robinson is a guy you have to make sure you wrap up on because if you don't, he's going to run right through you. Robinson has the ability to be an every down back for the Tigers, and should help lighten the loss of CAP. He may not be the fastest back in the world, but he has a great ability to reach the second level of the defense and is always keeping his feet moving when he gets hit. He should be a huge addition to the Malzahn offense this season.

Florida - Martez Ivey, OT
Ivey is a little bit older than most incoming Freshman (turns 20 in July) and that should help him be a little bit more physically ready than other offensive lineman just starting their college experience. Ivey is one of the best blockers in space I've ever seen at the high school level whether he is pulling on a counter on leading his RB on a screen downfield. McElwain has to be ecstatic about finding a player who should be able to protect his QB's blindside for at least the next 3 years.

UGA - Terry Godwin, ATH/WR UGA definitely focused more on the defensive side of the ball last recruiting class, but one player that should be able to contribute right away on offense is Terry Godwin. Godwin has great elusiveness and very good strength for his size (6'0", 170). He is a very fast player and has a strong stiffarm with his right hand. Hopefully he can make a seamless transition to WR after playing a lot of QB at the high school level, but with his pass catching ability it should be smoother than most that make the switch. Richt is definitely happy he got a guy who should be able to contribute on offense and in the return game right away.

Kentucky - C.J Conrad, TE
Conrad enrolled early this spring, and excelled in practices. He just underwent surgery for a sports hernia, but hopefully he'll be fully recovered by this fall. Conrad will be a big target for Towles at 6-5, and once the ball is in his hands he is very physical and quick. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Conrad start for the Wildcats this season and provide a much needed threat at the TE position.

LSU - David Ducre, FB As incredibly jealous as I am that y'all pulled Donte Jackson away from the Dawgs, and as good as I think Tyron Johnson is going to be, WR is a very deep position for LSU and I believe Ducre will make an immediate impact for the Tigers and will be very important for how well this football team plays in the fall. Ducre is an absolute monster and has an amazing ability to break tackles. Even though he should be able to provide some good runs at the FB position, his biggest impact will be made in pass blocking and being the lead blocker for Fournette. If he can develop those blocking skills, he could be the essential piece for Buga's heisman campaign and provide a lot less stress for whoever starts at QB.

MSU - Donald Gray, WR
The second JUCO WR I've put on the list, but definitely a very different player than Reed. Gray uses his incredible speed and solid route running to his advantage, and then once the ball is in his hands he had a dirty spin move and great quickness. My favorite thing about Gray though is his determination to get downfield once he catches the ball. He's definitely a North-South runner which you don't see a lot of times with guys who have the quickness Gray has. This is one of my favorite qualities in wide receivers, and even though MSU is very deep at the WR, Gray should definitely receiver some playing time in the fall.

Mizzou - Chase Abbington, RB
Next season, I expect Mizzou to get a lot of production at the WR position from incoming recruits, partially because they lost so many players at that position. That being said, the incoming recruit who I'm most excited to see is JUCO RB Chase Abbington. I expect Abbington to be used in a similar role to what Marcus Murphy was used last year. Abbington is not even close to having the speed that Murphy does, but he is a very good receiver and a pretty physical runner. If I were Pinkel, I'd try and send Abbington out in motion at least a couple times a game to get him matched up on an LB in either the slot, or out wide and see if I could take advantage of that match up. If he does stay in the backfield though, he should provide good relief for Hansborough next year.

Ole Miss - Chad Kelly, QB
Kelly has a great chance to be Ole Miss' starting QB next year and it's going to be very interesting to see how he leads a team that just had their best season in 40 years (some may think 03 was better). He has a multitude of great receiving threats in Treadwell, Stringfellow, Engram, Lodge, and Jefferson (both Lodge and Jefferson will be great to watch as well). Kelly has great arm strength and surprising speed for his size and skin color. Many have questioned whether he will be able be a leader and that will be one of the most intriguing things to watch at the beginning of next season.

South Carolina - Christian Owens, WR, TE
I'm excited to watch him partially because he was a one time UGA commit, and I'm interested to see what we lost here. Owens is a big target at 6-5 with good strength for his frame, and the ability to make some spectacular catches. Owens being an early enrollee was huge because it allowed him to get in the college weight room a little bit earlier and fill out his frame. He should be an early contributor for the Gamecocks next season.

Tennessee - Drew Richmond, OT
Tennessee's offensive line as been a train wreck for much of the last two seasons (thanks Dooley), but getting Drew Richmond in last year's recruiting class should help tremendously. Richmond may not be the quickest lineman from last year's class, but he is definitely one of the strongest and will help create bigger holes for Hurd, and should give Dobbs more time to throw the ball. Richmond is definitely the type of player that could give the Vols an edge to Atlanta if he plays up to his potential, and I'm excited to see if he pans out right away.

Texas A&M - Kyler Murray, QB
I know Christian Kirk is going to be good, and Murray in all likelihood will not even start next year, but I have an irrational love of Murray and think he is one of the most fun players to watch at any level of football. Murray can make plays through the air (in the pocket or on the move), or on the ground. He throws a beautiful 7 yard slant, 20 yard out, or a 45 yard skinny post. If Murray was 3 inches taller he would be the clear number 1 QB recruit from last year's class IMO. It will be interesting to see how he holds up at his size at the college level, but he's going to be fun to watch play regardless.

Vanderbilt - Kyle Shurmur, QB
To say Vandy wasn't very good at quarterback last year is quite the understatement. They tried 4 different players at the position, and none of them were able to give the results that Mason would like. It will be interesting to see if Shurmur can come in right away and compete for the starting job. He has very good arm strength and a decent ability to escape pressure which unfortunately may be important for the Dores this year. The Johnny McCrary vs. Kyle Shurmur battle should definitely be exciting this fall.

LSU fans are fixing to blow you up with "baseball season" posts.

But I want to see Calvin Ridley. Near the same area from where Cooper came from.

Anxious to see how Chad Kelly works out. From what was reported before his decision it could be entertaining.

Valentine may as well be classified as a recruit. If he ever does get to play . . .

I seriously doubt Ducre will be the starting fullback. Tyron Johnson is going to be an immediate contributor more so than any other LSU freshman. Don't be surprised if he's the slotman game 1.

It's between Drew Richmond and Preston Williams. If Williams gets healthy, he's gonna explode onto the SEC scene.

Have a couple of up arrows .... well done. This sort of thread is a rarity around here.

You deserve more up arrows than I am allowed to give.

Wow, great write-up. I am really excited to see what Ridley can do n Lane Kiffin offense. Don't think he will be featured as much as Coop was last year, I hope not. But he should have plenty of opportunities, even with a fairly deep roster at that position.

Valentine is gonna make it eventually. Not really room for him to start this year but in 2016 he will most likely be our LT.

Owens is going to be a TE for us - and we've had quite a few good ones over the years. He'll get some time in the slot this year and perhaps wide, but he'll end-up being a TE. He has to work on his speed. I heard he only ran a 4.9 during Spring ball.

Lorenzo Nunez is the new kid I am most looking forward to seeing on the O-side of the ball for us this year.

Your list is excellent though. You really did your research. Hard to argue with most of those as potentially be the most needed for each program.

Son of Philadelphia Eagles OC Pat Shurmur, by the way; spent last summer as an extra QB in summer camp with the Eagles, where he nearly took Mark Sanchez's role as 3rd string QB.
Seriously, I suspect new OC Andy Ludwig loves Shurmur, but I'm wary of sending a true freshman, even one as talented and mature as Kyle, out there with little help on the outside. We'll see...

Nothing against ridley but don't yall think he has to put some weight on first. Just cause he will play doesn't mean he should play. For instance Tony brown wasn't quite ready but he was your best option.

I remembered him being slow when I watched him at first, but I was pretty impressed when I watched his highlights more recently. I'll remove the thing about speed though. I'm sure the more weight he puts on the slower he'll be at first too. He's definitely got to put on a little weight to play TE, but I think he can do that.
