Baseball and other sports have nothing to do with this thread though.

The only way I would want Georgia Tech back in the SEC is if we could trade them for Missouri.
Short of that, I'd like to know if we could replace Missouri with Florida State, or Clemson, or Miami, or Central Florida, or Tulane, or Southern Mississippi, or Marshall, or College of Charleston, or Wofford, or Louisiana Tech, or Millsaps.
Or Samford, or South Florida, or Mercer, or Belmont, or Troy, or Louisiana Monroe, or Sewannee, or Davidson, or fricking Tougaloo.
Other than that, I wouldn't change a thing.

Where are you getting your numbers from? I count GT with 5 SEC championships and 2 ACC championships in football.

Which Missouri school would be better for the SEC?
Football
Conference Titles:
Northwest Missouri State - 25
Missouri - 15
National Championships:
Northwest Missouri State - 4
Missouri - 0
Basketball
Who cares, neither of them are Kentucky
Sorry Missouri, but the numbers don't lie. Can you ask big brother if they want to take their rightful spot as the flagship athletic institution of the state of Missouri?

So GT really is better than them in all 3. Interesting.
And it's not close in some areas
Overall though for the talent and resources they have, Georgia sports should be considered the most underachieving in the nation

East Central Community College?
FAMU?
Robert Morris?
Birmingham Southern?
Tunica School for the Industrial Arts?

Sure, if they were actually a D1 school

Tech is also one of the top research universities in the country.

Georgia and it's not close. But I should just avoid these troll threads.

Love it. Georgia Tech and Auburn fans always trot out how shitty UGA is. Yet somehow magically Georgia has absolutely dominated both series in recent years.
PS: Auburn has an even record against UGA in Football, losing record in Basketball, (men's and women's) and Baseball.
Tech at least has posted a winning record in one of those four categories.
So, to recap. UGA sucks, and yet dominates the head to head against Tech (3 out of 4) and a clean sweep of all 4 against the backup school for Georgians who "don't test well".

This might be the best thread in the history of this board. I have been saying for a while the SEC should kick Georgia out and replace them with Georgia Tech. Somebody in the conference office needs to make this happen

Hahaha. Auburn is definitely in your head. I'm glad we can provide these threads for UGA fans to vent their frustration so they don't start hitting their wives and children

This is the only comfort you guys have which is kinda sad.
Here's the thing though, when Georgia beats Auburn it's the highlight of another disappointing, failed to meet expectation season but when Auburn beats UGA it usually results in a NC run and appears Tech can make the same claim?
Tell me, who's the real winner in this scenario?

Are they also better academically? A higher endowment?

Beating Auburn is fun. I'm glad we've gotten to do it a lot lately. We've won the SEC more, every historical ranking has us superior to Auburn, half your student body grew up UGA fans. So to answer your question we're the winner in this scenario.

It probably sucks beating Auburn a lot in all those sports and gaining all those bragging rights just to have this happen:
Oops, hahahaha.
Oops, hahahaha.

To every anti-UGA poster in the thread - take note that auburnphan is ecstatically agreeing with all of your arguments. Think about what that means about the quality of your points.
