I'd make an argument that Kentucky's has been the most integral to their offense:

Receptions:

Garrett Johnson - 11 REC 181 YDS 2 TD
Dorian Baker - 11 REC 122 YDS 1 TD
Blake Bone - 5 REC 113 YDS 1 TD
Boom Williams - 5 REC 75 YDS 1 TD
T.V. Williams - 4 REC 64 YDS

Rushing:

Mikel Horton - 23 CAR 121 YDS 2 TD
Boom Williams - 16 CAR 99 YDS 1 TD

Special Teams:

Boom Williams - 4 KR 105 YDS 26.25 YPR
Austin MacGinnis (redshirt) 7/11 FG 15/15 XPM KOA 61.57 YDS

Defense has some contributors as well:

Regie Meant (redshirt) - 6 TAC 2 SAC 1 FF
Kendall Randolph - 5 TAC 1 TFL 2 QBH 1 FF
Matt Elam - 2 TAC 1 BAMF

Looking at 1st year JUCO/Transfer guys, there are more contributors and a couple of starters.

Defense:

Ryan Flannigan - 15 TAC .5 SAC
Cory Johnson - 2 TAC .5 SAC 1 PBU 2 QBH
Melvin Lewis - 9 TAC 2.0 TFL .5 SAC
A.J. Stamps - 20 TAC 2 INT 1 TFL 1 PBU 1 QBH

Offense:

Braylon Heard - 29 CAR 217 YDS 2 TD 3 REC 8 YDS

Players brought in by Stoops in '14 (or eligible in '14) are doing very well.

You mean like Fournette's games against Sam Houston State and New Mexico State?

That's two games out of five. That's not an outlier.

I think UT's would be comparable...looking only at True Freshmen players...(no JUCOs or Redshirts listed).

Receptions:

Wolf - 13 REC 115 YDS 0 TD
Malone - 10 REC 106 YDS 0 TD
Hurd - 7 REC 59 YDS 1 TD
Helm - 2 REC 1 2pt conv.

Rushing:

Hurd - 72 CAR 328 YDS 2 TD
MALONE - 1 CAR 20 YDS

Special Teams:

Medley - 13/13 xp 5/7 FG

Offensive Line:

Jashon Robertson - 4 starts
Coleman Thomas - 3 games/ 1 start

Defense:

Todd Kelly Jr - 7 TAC 1 INT
Darek Barnett - 19 TAC 3 TFL
Evan Berry - 2 TAC
Rashan Gaulden - 1 TAC
Dillon Bates - 3 TAC (out for season with injury)

BamaDoc started this thread knowing that LSU's Freshman class has been the best. It just kills him.

Based on performance to date. LSUs freshman class really hasn't done anything of significance against the two teams they played with a pulse.

Harris threw 2 TDs to Dupre in 4 minutes against State.

UGa and UTs frosh have already shown their contributions against top 25 opponents and right now get the nod.

What top 25 teams has UGA played again?

quote:

Michel and Chubb each have exactly half of Fournette's 56 carries. Michel has 23 carries for 223 yards and Chubb has 23 carries for 146 yards. When each player has exactly half of Fournette's carries it is not crazy to combine them. So in 56 carries UGA's freshmen have 369 yards and 4 tds. They also add 6 receptions for 96 yards and 2 more tds. Sorry that our freshmen rb's are more productive with the same amount of touches.

This is the most ridiculous argument I've ever seen. So it takes both of your freshman backs to do what Fournette has done, yet they are "clearly" better?

Clemson and USC

Seems more of an indictment on your upperclassmen not contributing.

Are they top 25 right now?

Not what this thread is about is it? Also, this is a pretty weak argument to try to discount what LSU's freshman are doing.

Im def not discount what the freshman have done but its a stunning stat that they have scored such a high percentage of the TDs.

Considering the only upperclassmen at the skill positions is a blocking TE and 2 backup RBs it's not all that surprising.

ETA:

Harris - Fr
Jennings - SO

Fournette - FR
Williams - FR
Hiliard - SR
Magee - SR

Gordon - JR

Dural - SO
Dupre - FR
Quinn - FR
Diarse - SO
Rest of WRs - SO or FR

You obviously didn't read TxTiger's comments. He seems to think its fair to remove stats from one set of RBs to make the argument that Fournette is better. That would be the most ridiculous argument you've ever seen.

I laugh at LSU fans mentioning Fournette. The only thing he has proven is that he was hugely overrated as a recruit. He is nowhere close to the #1 player in the 2014 class like a lot of people rated him

I would laugh more at the AU fans claiming Roc Thomas was better if I were you.
