Ok, how about this concession then: Ole Miss is the more historically relevant program.

We'll see. Johnny has at-the-most 3 more years.

Drop Ole Miss insert "X" and this becomes like a math formula where you insert random school's name and repeat this dribble like you have for the past 40 years or so.

Yes, because the only advantage I was talking about was Johnny.

Not the better talent base.

Or the fact we have way more money.

Or our about to be top 5 in the nation stadium.

Or our higher ranked recruiting class.

All that matters is Johnny, the kid who won the world's stupidest award.

In that same span, Ole Miss is 7-1.

I'd be curious I see a comparative list of bowls and opponents.

But I'll bow out with that. Thank you for understanding that neither I nor any other self-respecting Ag will entertain a legitimate conversation on this topic.

All of that is pure conjecture. It doesn't exist right now. UT is still going to cherry-pick the state of Texas. LSU will have their choice of the rest.

You just don't pay attention to recruiting, friend.

The only -- yes, only -- Texas recruit LSU had this year was stolen by A&M.

Consider what LSU did last year in Texas -- Jalen Mills, Danielle Hunter, Corey Thompson, only one of whom was offered by A&M.

In contrast, A&M signed 8 Texas kids with LSU offers last year.

You're conflating national prominence and actual recruiting results -- which is intellectually dishonest

With respect to Texas and A&M recruiting in state, A&M's 2014 class has 5 members, 3 of which hold Texas offers. They won't be the last recruits in 2014 who join our class over Texas.

The tide is turning, there's no other explanation for what you're seeing in recruiting.

We guaranteed have a better talent base right now:

We have way more money right now.

Our stadium upgrade is already bid out, but even our current one is bigger than Ole Miss.

And according to any service we have a higher ranked class right now, even after Texas/LSU's "cherry picking."

I don't think you know what the word "conjecture" means.

1999 OU -- Independence Bowl. This OU team blew.

2002 Nebraska -- Independene Bowl. Enough said.

2000 WVU -- Music City Bowl. They weren't exactly boasting Geno Smith in these days.

2003 OSU -- I was actually at this game. Wow that's a shitty match-up or the CB.

2008 Tech was pretty good, though.

I don't think you'll be talking about A&M v. Arky, I think you'll be talking A&M v. Bama/LSU. A&M will reload each year with top talent right at the levels of Bama and LSU, especially since the move to the SEC and now being the big dog in state.

Their past coaches frankly didn't use or develop the talent they brought in. The jury is still out but I really think Sumlin will utilize all that talent better than his predecessors. I also do think A&M had a bit of a chip on their shoulder or little brother syndrome with Texas. Having left the Big 12. that psychological wall is gone.

You can't neglect the entire history of a program. Sorantable told me so in the other thread.
