Not Bama or A&M IMO. Both have too easy of a schedule to finish the regular season with fewer than 10 wins.

Candidates:
1) LSU: @ Bama, @ UGA, vs TCU in Dallas, vs A&M, vs Florida
2) Florida: @ LSU, @ Miami, @ USC, vs FSU, vs UGA
3) UGA: @ Clemson, @ Ga Tech, vs LSU, vs Fla, vs USC
4) USC: @ UGA, vs NC, vs Fla, vs Clemson

I think LSU's expectations are tempered by the schedule though. If we win the West we really deserved to win the west with that schedule. But losing less than 2 games would be better than many people's expectations.

I think UGA fans would be very disappointed with anything short of winning the SEC East this year. They were really close last year and have a fairly favorable schedule to win it this year

I think it will be the fanbase of the team that comes in last that will be the most disappointed.

Where do rival fans get these insane notions that "Ole Miss fans expect 10 wins, National Championship, SECW Title." etc? I have not seen anyone who is not joking say something like that. I think that Vandy, LSU, A&M are 50/50. I base that on last years game with A&M and what we are returning and what they are returning, also a home game. I base the LSU score off how we generally play LSU every year, and what they have lost to the NFL and it's a home game. I base the Vandy theory on the fact that we had them beat and screwed it up, same with A&M and LSU. I think we can rectify those issues and posibly (Not Probably) win these games. I don't know how many wins that gets us. But no one here is being delusional that I can see. So stop making shite up .

I doubt anyone outside of the Ole Miss fanbase considers them even odds against LSU and A&M

Barring any big time injuries on any teams, LSU and aTm will both be less than 10 point favorites in Oxford... Certainly not even... But ~7.5 is where those spreads will end up by KO... Bookmark if you like... I'm about to.

seems reasonable, but I wouldn't expect a 7.5 point dog to win more than maybe one time in three

i'm sure someone who bets a lot would actually have a percentage guess for how often that would happen

I agree... And both games are in Oxford... The home team in the SEC gets 3 to 6 points... If the games were in BR and College Station the spreads would be between 10 - 13.5 points... Maybe more... Still assuming no teams have suffered any major injury setbacks.

LSU, after which half this board will be banned in retaliation.

It's gonna be a bloodbath after their fourth loss of the season.

You're doing it wrong

Aggie nation is going to have a rough time of it when 2013 brings them: a loss against Bama and LSU, Johnny Football going pro, and the last season of Glee

In the West I'll say A&M. They expect a championship after 1 good season and won't get one.

In the East I'll say Florida for getting beaten by Georgia 2 years in a row.

Mizzou can't lose. We either win 7+ games (2 win improvement) or we get to fire Pinkel. Next year is a win-win scenario for us

Honestly I'll go with Ole Miss think some of our expectations are high ... but they sure aren't this 10 win bullshite people keep saying.

Myself I look and see a 8-4 finish.

ETA: Another reason:

quote:

Ole Miss: What’s the biggest concern during spring practice? Hugh Freeze’s biggest concern isn’t even practicing this spring. Quarterback Bo Wallace was a rollercoaster in 2012. Sunshine looked so good several times, but he also threw 17 INTs along with his 22 touchdowns. And he’s out this spring recovering from shoulder surgery. Ole Miss’ continued improvement will hinge on Wallace’s health and productivity, as well as his ability to minimize turnovers in ‘13, and Freeze can’t feel good about his lack of reps and continued development this spring.

You mean that offense that lost its top 2 receivers, top running back and top tackle?

Distorting facts to make an argument hold water.

We lost our 2nd best WR and RB. Joeckel's a loss, but we're just sliding over our All-American RT.

Offensive production is a non-issue.

Arkansas and Kentucky, they're both expecting a quick turn-around, while sporting virtually zero talent on either side of the ball.

Tennessee and Auburn fans appear to have more tempered expectations for their rookie coaches.

We all spend the off-season saying shite like this but in reality the loss of one player can drastically change the look of an offense or defense.
