Mississippi State, but unsure why I feel that way. BTW, RegisteredPharmacist, there is a guy/gal, who knows on the internet, in the OT Lounge who believes your profession and your title is the shits.

I'm a State fan from Georgia but I grew up spending Summer's with family in Mississippi. I knew more state fans but also a lot of Ole miss fans and honestly just most people from Mississippi were good people regardless of who they like. The opinion of most of my friends that o brought to games with me was State was more of a relaxed place where everyone is nice and will give you a beer and some food and talk for hours if you want even if you were a complete stranger. Ole miss fans are a bit more snobby sometimes but they can really party and show you a good time if you try to fit in with them. Just depends on what crowd you're looking for.

Never had a problem with either. The proximity allows for lots of interaction from both. LOTS of state students came to ttown on Saturdays back in my day. Ole miss students came to bham a lot to party.

I think they still wear popped collars too.

I'd take state fans over OM fans any day of the week and I have family that graduated from OM though most of them don't follow OM sports.

It's funny you say this, but 4 or 5 years ago, I actually had way more respect for OM. It wasn't until recently where you guys actually became halfway decent but the fans acted like OM was gods gift to college football that I started disliking OM so much. If the fan base actually matched the real output in the field and just accept that you guys have a decent team (not the GOAT like you all like to boast that you have) I still probably would halfway pull for them against every team but a few.

I also have to add that I have always thought Hugh Freeze was a douche nozzle. Admittedly I don't believe he is a terrible coach, he's just a tool.

State easily. Ole Miss fans think they are a perfect combination of old south money, Martha's Vineyard class, and Alabama's winning tradition, and yet they are none of those. Most are totally obnoxious, racist hicks, clinging to an era that will never return for them.

State by a landslide.

Judging by the vast majority and not a few outliers, State people are just more down-to-earth. They appreciate what they have and don't have to create a false sense of self-worth.

I've had far more interaction with Miss State fans because they're so close to Alabama. Never really had a negative experience with them. I've met some good natured Ole Miss alums, but had some negative experiences with them before and after the game this year. So I guess I'll say State.
