Seriously though, if Malzahn goes 8-5 or worse, which is a real possibility, his seat will at least be getting warm.

If he goes 6-6, it might be a little warm.

If he goes 8-5, it won't really be

This will be the first topic on tRANT I've treated seriously in nearly a year, let's see how this goes:

Mullins won't be on the hot seat if they only win 6, they were number one in the country for awhile last year and went to a big 6 bowl. No chance 6 gets him sweating

And FTR I don't think 7 will give Butch any heat either......6 on the other hand.....

Now I will wait for the shittiness of the rant to take over

Chizik went 8-5, 14-0, 8-5 and was fired after going 3-9.

I think it's fair to say that Malzahn's seat would be warm after another 8-5 season lol.

Vanderbilt would be stupid to fire a coach after two years. Playing the coaching carousel game is no way to build a program.

I don't think any SEC coaches are in immediate danger.

Chizik's seat was barely warm after his third year. And that's because he kept getting blown out by the big teams in the SEC and barely winning the games we should win.

All 8-5 seasons don't mean the same. 8-5 and competitive in all but one of your losses is much better than 8-5 and getting blown out in 5 games.

If Malzahn goes 8-5 and is competitive there will be some grumblings but his job won't be in danger.

I think there's at least a 25% chance that Malzahn and Muschamp get into a fist fight with each other on the sideline of a game.

Sumlin seems like the most likely candidate. If you pay that kind of money, you expect results.

Mason will probably get at least another year regardless.

Honestly, short of Sumlin, I am not sure who else would be on the hot seat.

Sumlin

He rode the coattails of Manzel and Kingsbury and now he's being exposed.

Everything is setup for Miles to be on the hot seat. He made a bad hire in Kevin Steele and it will cost them games. A&M will beat LSU this year.

The worst one went 6-7, his last loss being "borderline erotic".
