The 2012 calendar HIGHLY disagrees.

That's been the phrase for the past few years.

What does last years calendar have to do with Miles being "lucky" or not?

No doubt, that bounce pass against you guys 3 years ago was the biggest bunch of BS I've ever seen.

I will answer your question with a question...Which coach has had more success against the best college coach in the country?

Thats your answer.

In 106 games coached, Miles has only lost a handful of truly "big" games:
2005 SECCG UGA
2008 Georgia, Alabama
2009 Alabama, Florida and Penn State
2012 Alabama twice

But he's also won a LOT of "big' games
2005 Florida, Auburn,Chick-fil-A
2006 Sugar Bowl
2007 Florida, Va.Tech, SECCG, BCSNCG
2008 @ Auburn, Chick-fil-A
2010 Alabama, Cotton
2011 Oregon, @ Alabama, Arkansas
2012 South Car, @ A&M

He actually fascinates me. When you really sit down and break down the numbers across the board, what Miles has done is truly astounding. For instance, Miles has covered the spread in only 26 of his 84 wins at LSU. His team lost the yardage battle in 31 of those wins (one of the most mind-boggling stats ever IMO) and lost the turnover battle in 20 of them (also amazing). His team has had a go-ahead score in the final two minutes 18 times.

The guy is a true enigma. He clearly doesnt coach up to the level of his talent (by comparison, Saban has covered the spread nearly 70% of the time at LSU and Bama) but his teams routinely find miraculous ways to pull out games in which they either played poorly, were outplayed or simply had no business winning.

That's our Leslie.

I'd say an unprecedented win vs Ok State by Iowa State on a OT fg that possibly could have gone either way might be a bigger bunch of bs

Gonna try to answer this objectively- which is tough because Miles is my team's coach.

But I'd take Miles over Richt. Miles has a better record against Saban at Bama. Better record against Meyer at Florida. Won "big games" in the regular season against Oregon, WVU, etc... don't think he lost out of conference in the regular season. Richt lost in the Georgia Dome to Boise.

Richt runs a better looking offense and recruits comparably, but in a 1 time, high-stakes game, Miles has been far more successful.
