So two votes for whitey.

SHOCKER

Randall Mackey, Michael Spurlock and Brent Schaeffer were quarterbacks in the last ten years for us. That being said, I think in Freeze's system, Schaeffer would have been pretty good.

Ole Miss turned all of them into wide receivers except Mackey who they made a tight end and then a running back (in fact if I recall, the Bastrop native is listed as "ATH" on Mississippi's own website).

Spurlock and Schaeffer played WR? Interesting...

Mackey sucked at QB, much better H back.

Negative. Spurlock remained a quarterback until he left as did Schaeffer. Mackey was a utility slot player. Robert Lane is the guy you're thinking of that we made a tight end.

Only player in Tampa Bay Bucs history to run a kickoff back for a touchdown

I was thinking we see more of Kincaid this year. I thought he would fill the role Brunetti. Hard to say at this point. Let them straight up compete for it in the offseason and lets see who earns it.

Someone must not have told the NFL that he didn't play wide receiver for the Rebs.

quote:

It started in Tampa Bay, where Micheal Spurlock recorded a 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown -- the first such score in franchise history. This might have been secondary to the fact that the Bucs clinched the NFC South with the victory, but it is a major milestone. The Bucs had gone 32 years -- 1,864 returns -- without a kickoff TD. Spurlock played wide receiver at Ole Miss and then was an undrafted rookie last season with Arizona.

He may have been listed as receiver but I don't remember him ever taking a snap there. His senior season he started at quarterback the LSU and State games if not a few more.

I didn't say they were good, just that they were converted.
