Whatever happened to the LB from New Jersey that was the star of the last recruiting class of Petrino?

Arkansas would be around the bottom of the SEC if he was still here. People would be starting to call for his head also. His firing would have made Nutt's a side show. I think Stephen's would have dug something up and made it quite entertaining.

Vin Ascolese -- Hogville All American from day one. Apparently he didn't graduate from an accredited high school or something (was a different HS than the one he played ball for) and had to go to some prep school. He ended up signing with TCU this past NSD.

Short Term - In 2012, they go 12-1 or 11-2

No way. Defense wasn't near good enough and knile davis was a shell of himself. We had no receivers after Cobi hamilton.

I didn't think the BB hire was a good idea initially. I may have been wrong on this. Hogs are much better than at this time last year. They need a SEC win badly.

I think they will get a few very soon.

Petrino is probably the worst recruiting head coach in FBS.

And because he's an a-hole, he can't get quality coaches on his staff that can recruit.

That combination is the kiss of death in college football.

You can't "coach up" 2 and 3 star talent to win the SEC, is there truly anybody on here that actually thinks that?

I thought he never recruited well the whole time there? He was an excellent coach just a bad person.

Pretty much all of his productive players during his time except for Knile Davis were from his first recruiting class that Nutt started. They were all pretty highly decorated recruits too. Petrino is very overrated as a talent developer.

Not unless he recruited some defenders.

Do you think BB is going to win the West?
