If your fanbase has trouble "embracing" a coach like Tuberville after firing Fulmer, whilst hiring Kiffin and Dooley, then now I understand why Tennessee Football is a joke.

You just went full retard. Congrats on acing the art of using logical fallacies for fun and profit; a mastery that is no doubt boosted by those strong reading comprehension skills.

After Petrino, I can't imagine them going with another mega-POS any time soon.

Maybe so. But your whole football program is still shite. Explain that. How did it become that way? Did your fanbase get power-hungry and oust another VERY GOOD COACH they should not have. That worked out well.

I haven't read any of the comments, but I highly doubt we'd hire a coach as old as Tubs if Bert does indeed fail.

If we continue to show improvement Bert will get 4 years

I do like Tubs though, always have. I used to have respect for Auburn when he coached there

Lowder happened, and I don't blame him for taking the course that he did.
You do know that Lowder is the one who ran off Terry Bowden specifically so he could hire Tuberville, don't you?

I've been told by more than one person that Jetgate wasn't the first time AU used a Colonial Bank corporate plane to contact an HC about a vacancy that didn't yet exist. What happened to Tubs was karma for his complicity in what happened to Bowden.

That said, I'm grateful for the success we had while he was in charge, but it's obvious he was playing out the string in '08. And I'll never understand why he was so frequently incapable of getting his team ready for Saturday morning home games.

His overall winning percentage while at AU was pretty indicative of the kind of HC he is - basically the 8-4, 3rd in the division, Music City Bowl kind.

I wouldn't know. Auburn would not have made that particular hire in the first place.
