Regarding LSU, I am surprised to see that more alums live in Dallas, or Austin, or Washington DC, or New York than live in Shreveport.

I'm happy to be in Montana. There are several of us in the Flathead Valley, and I'm considering creating an alumni chapter.

FYI: I used to be a chapter president for a city on the west coast (I won't name it for privacy)

Keep in mind, the type of alum living in NYC, DC, Austin, or Dallas is probably 3x more likely to be on LinkedIn than the alum who lives in Shreveport.

Judging by the sheer amount of 3 ft tall Alabama "A" scripts I see on the back of pick-up trucks and mobile homes in South Louisiana, I would have thought this area would have been on the Alabama list.

Good point. I myself avoid Linked In as much as possible and don't have a profile. It doesn't benefit my profession.

Alabama has 81,000 alumni

and 1.2 million fans that live in a trailer park just outside Tuscaloosa

I've been asking my wife why crime is on the rise in Florence. Now I know.

Thanks Mississippi.

It is well known that Shreveport is more or less a suburb of Texas.

Arkansas: Interesting stats

Nearly as many alums in DFW as in Little Rock

Highest percentage who remain in the collegetown and surrounding area. Job growth and QOL make people want to stay here. Also explains our hordes of hipsters/30-somethings.

Tuscaloosa shouldn't be considered in the Golden Triangle, but these dumbasses probably don't know.

I used to live in the Shoals area (Florence, Sheffield, Tuscumbia, Muscle Shoals). I don't remember ever seeing any Ole Miss fans. Majority of fans were for Bama. Hell, Tuscaloosa is only 1.5 hours from there. Auburn fans next most and a few MSU and UT fans mixed in. Most of the UT fans didn't live there, just worked there.

Like I said, most of Northeast MS is included in that metro area for their purposes. So, all the Ole Miss/MSU folks listed as "Florence" probably actually live in Corinth, Booneville and probably even Tupelo.

Also, Tuscaloosa is 2.5 hours from Florence/Shoals. It's basically equal distance from Nashville, Memphis and Tuscaloosa.

Houston is the biggest little bro city in the world. It cracks me up how much y'all hate Dallas.

Do you drive a Tacoma with a big gator head on the back glass?
