If you think Chavis was the problem last night then you know less about football than most around here.

I mean y'all gave up 540 yards of offense. i wouldn't think Chavis would say y'all had a solid night defensively

After the first quarter the D was in the game, offense couldn't do shite and it cost us. Offensive line probably had the worst game since Sumlin has been here, some of there blocks were downright embarrassing.

Your 3rd string QB getting first career start in bowl game threw for 307yrds and multiple TD's.

Not too shabby

This is how I know you just read stat lines.

I didn't say he played lights out, I watched the game last night. But to say this loss is 100% on offense is wrong.

He played better than most people anticipated.

Next year we get to beat the aggies for the 3rd year in a row with 3 different DC's.

The melt will be glorious !

well, unfortunately college football games have 4 quarters, and each quarter is as important as the other 3. Your defense dug your offense a giant hole and relied on a 3rd string QB making his first start in his career to get yourselves out. That is the exact opposite of what your defense needed to do to give your team the best chance to win the game.

After the first quarter, the defense still gave up 328 yards and numerous Louisville drives into A&M territory. The Aggies were lucky to only give up one touchdown and a field goal attempt. Also got a break on an obvious pass interference (as pointed out by the unbiased commentators) that wasn't called. If not for holding a comfortable lead after the first quarter, Louisville would have torched the Aggie defense worse than it did.

Um, no. That ball was thrown five yards in front of the receiver, completely uncatchabale. If anything, a PI was missed against UL on our last play, but whatever.

I've been waiting for the updated 3rd & Chavis thread that ran through about week 6 or 7 and then vanished

Guess that was about the time Aggy's Heisman QB vanished too

Lousiville was 5-15 on 3rd down..... Maybe you should check the stats before you assume A&M gave up a ton of 3rd downs just cause they lost.

Klarvin's thread may have been about 3rd downs at face value, but the intent of the thread was very different.

Chavis and the defense are not our problem

you're right. Chavis is a credible DC and much better than what you had. but you really can't blame LSU fans for giving y'all shite considering what shite y'all doled out.

you guys have THE BEST WR'S in the SEC. Reynolds, Kirk and Seal-Jones are amazing. if Sumlin hadn't wasted the OL he inherited and had recognized the importance of the running game a few years ago y'all could have a damn good offense.

your adm. and fan base has an amazing amount of patience with kevin sumlin, even if his drinking isn't a problem (which I only hear the rumors). I guess the buy out is an issue but holy cow the guy is dense about SEC football.

Had never heard of the QB before. Aggie made him a household name.

A&M Possessions:

First Quarter:

-- Punt (3 and out) (TOP 1:13)

-- Punt (1:29)

-- Punt (3 and out) (1:56)

-- TD (2:57)

-- Punt (1:32)

Second:

-- Punt (3 and out) (0:51)

-- Turnover on Downs (2:30)

-- TD (3:54)

-- Punt (3 and out) (0:29)

Obvious that the shitty offense couldn't stay on the field much longer than a minute throughout the first half.
