Why? I thought that thing was heralded as the best thing of the 21st century

Because its loud af and detracts from the atmosphere of the game. You spend more time looking at a TV screen than paying attention to the little details that make going to the games so enjoyable. If i want to watch a TV screen, i'll stay at home.

Thats why.

Auburn is stacked at those positions.

Auburn's "stacked" group aren't even starters for the most part at Alabama. The recruiting depth at UA has just been so obscene that the separation in talent is substantial right now. I don't know that other the Carlson at PK, there's clearly a player on Auburn better then their counterpart.

That is the truth. My attention keeps turning to the screen and find I have to remind myself the game is actually happening live in front of me if I will just turn away...

I understand comparing match ups as far as o line vs d line, but I also want to compare similar position groups as well.

Why? For no reason? If you want to know who will win the game it's pointless to compare Oline to Oline, Dline to Dline

Pettway and Kerryon are a better duo, yes.

Auburn has a duo, Bama has a stable. None of the players mentioned are on level with Najee Harris. Halfway through the season you'll all know that.

Take off your blinders

QB- Stidham would start
RB- Bo would be 3rd string at AU
WR- Ridley from Bama, then Kyle Davis and Nate Craig-Myers from AU would be the 3 starters
TE- not sure who Bama has so I can't make a call, but Canella and Harris are pretty good
OL- Auburn has the better overall unit, but Jonah Williams would be LT and Piersbacher would start at OG. Other 3 spots would be AU starters

DL- Derrick Brown and Marlon Davidson from AU would be starters
LB- Dion-Hamiltom would definitely start. Bama has a better overall group but either Darrell Williams or Tre Williams would get one of the starting spots
CB- Carlton Davis and Jamal Dean are the two starters
SS- Tray Matthews
FS- Minkah Fitzpatrick
(Or put Fitzpatrick at Nickel and Ronnie Harrison at FS)

K- Daniel Carlson
P- JK Scott

But we have already seen it from Harris.

Everything about Stidham is just assumed.

At least Harris has already proven it on the field.

Advantage Bama at QB IMO.

You either have to place a value on Stidham or label the matchup as a TBD.

You can't just say we've seen nothing from Stidham and say advantage Bama. If that were the case, Bama could put Saban at QB and they would have the advantage.

Najee is a horse, that's for sure. Of course he's still got to show it on the field in college, but Najee is the one player Bama has that legit scares me.

And Auburn has more than a duo too. Malik Miller is good. Lam Martin can make plays and is very fast. True freshman Devan Barrett is going to be very good as well.

a lot of people in the media touting Auburn as a contender and that they will be very good, how do they stack up against the top dog in the division?

What match-ups position wise are in their favor?

Where does Auburn outclass Bama this year?

Petteway over Bo and Harris?

How is Auburns O line compared to Bama?

As an AU fan, UA has every advantage on both sides of the ball with the exception of kicker. I will not pretend that there is any other answer. KP and KJ will be a great 1-2 punch but in the grand scheme of things, UA is 4 deep at RB of which would be a starter at any team on a national level.

AU shouldn't be scared by any means, but to say AU has an advantage other than kicker would not be living in reality.

In the end, F Bama.

You are either retarded or woefully ignorant of the talent on Auburn's starting line up.

Blinders are off. Scarbrough played good in the playoffs, mostly made a name for himself against a weak Washington defense, but where was he the rest of the season? He's the most overrated player in CFB right now

People forget how good Kerryon was at 100% at the beginning of last season because Pettway came and stole the show, and the more recent image in people's mind is of Kerryon playing less than completely healthy for the last 75% of the season.... but completely healthy Pettway and Kerryon are both better than Scarbrough

One thing is for sure. There head coach is Gus Malzahn. Going to be glorious when they have another 7-5 or 8-4 season.

Damn, is that auburns locker room? Looks like shite. Even LSUs practice locker room at the football ops building is 10 times nicer than that shithole. I guess that's to be expected at a school that only has a jumbotron at one end of their stadium.

OL is better and K is better. Every other position outside of Safety is arguably the same. Bama has edge at Safety

Aaaand there is Bama's major advantage, unless time management comes into play, then all bets are off.

Stop trying to be humble. Every second string player will be drafted in the first 2 rounds.

Have you heard of Saquon Barkley?
You think that Bama has 4 guys better than him?

SEC fans as a whole are incredibly ignorant of CFB outside the SEC. It's honestly kind of embarassing. It's like when Americans can point out major European countries on a map.
