Don't know if it will shake out that way but that is a pretty good list. OU may go higher because their win was over UA. Also I'm curious to how much love UCF will get, and will they break top 10?

I think OU will be higher since that was a good statement win and they are a name program that voters want to like. Also, I suspect the BCS NCG runner up may be the #2 unless they get blown out.
Overall, not a bad list tho. It is subjective and I'm not sure there's logic to what gets voted on many occasions.

If I had a vote:
01. AU/FSU winner
02. AU/FSU loser
03. MSU
04. SCar
05. Mizzou
06. OU*
07. Clemson
08. UA
09. UCF
10. Oregon or Stanford
*OU had a very bad loss to Baylor

Yeah its really tough to tell. A lot of teams finished the year with 11 wins so I think it may come down to who won bowls. I tried to rank teams on head to head record when close.
I don't know how much love UCF is going to get for beating Baylor, I think they should be about 11-13 but it will be interesting to see

Perception does matter. I say 6-9 and that would be fair. We need to start the season ranked in the top ten to have a short at the top four because unless the teams ranked ahead of you lose, there not going to drop out of the top four.

I watched the UCF/Baylor game. They are as fast as anyone. I can see why the SCar game with them was so close.

I don't have a problem with your list but I do with the asterix. Every team (unless FSU beats Auburn) has things you can point to if you wanted to argue them downwards.
MSU - soft schedule, lost to unremarkable ND
Auburn - lost to LSU by 2 TDs, arguably lucky to beat UGA and Alabama.
USC - ugly loss to Tenn on their schedule is the worst for a top ten team.
MU - lost to the best two teams they played in the regular season
Clemson - handled by FSU and USC
Alabama - lost to the only two top ten teams they played.
UCF - schedule, played Baylor and USC essentially and lost to USC. With a real schedule they are debatably Ok State or LSU.
Oregon - handled by Stanford especially
Stanford - Utah loss

By bad I mean 41-12 bad. Of course UGA had a similar loss to SCar last year and still came within one play of being in the BCS CG so point taken.

Really I think 7. No way Clemson should be ranked higher than UA

For the safety of the rest of us, somewhere at least in the top ten. Preferably top five just to be on the safe side.

i'd put us above clemson since we didn't get blown out they way they did at fsu, but that's debatable ... pretty good ranking right there ...

Beat LSU, which beat auburn, passed the eye test, forgive us for not showing up in New Orleans, how the hell do you lose the iron bowl on a FG return...
