Bama substitutes players all game long. How are they "tired"?

Why does it bother you so much that a team is tired?

Saban is getting into a habit of whining and making excuses about his team, your team, cbf, cfb fans, etc., etc.

it's only cuz he wins that he's not thought of as a whiny bitch.

Saban has to be the GOAT at getting under opposing fans skin - Maybe Spurrier, but I don't think Saban tries like Spurrier did

I think we are tired but it shouldn't be an excuse. I see teams all the time play well without having a bye week until later in the season. AU 2010 is an example of this...I think.

Sorry we had to play Georgia, Arkansas, Aggie, and Ten. in a row with a couple of them getting byes.

We can't get Western Kentucky on our schedule before our bye week.

I don't think he does. This is part of the old, silly "Bama bust in the NFL" meme which I thought had finally died by its own idiocy

He answered a question. I promise you, if Les said yeah we've played a bunch of games in a row and we're a little worn out from that, I would never think anything of it. It's true. It's not being mean to anyone. Where's the controversy? I can't see what the problem is. I know we're good, but is Saban supposed to pretend we're superhuman? I just don't get it.

LSU has already played a game less and Les was talking about how they needed a bye because they were fatigued.

Les did say they were fatigued and the bye week is coming at a good time for them.

We looked dead-legged all game. When you see Reggie Ragland making arm tackles out on the field, you know we're tired. The position we really rotate a lot is DL, and they looked good late in the game. However, we don't rotate a lot at other positions.

A ton of credit to UT, though. They are a dangerous team and played well.

It's the same thing with us every year. We ALWAYS have a game or two like this in the middle of the season. It's not against UT usually, but has been a couple times (2009 and 2015). It's darn tough to win and look great doing it every week in this league. This year's schedule especially. It's a meat grinder.

Undoubtedly we'll come out in two weeks against LSU our usual "so tight you couldn't drive a spike up our rearends with a sledgehammer" selves to start that game. Hopefully it's a good game.

Saban was asked about how the stretch of tough games with no break would affect team in a coaches show. Of course he said it shouldnt matter, the team was fine even though he knew they were tired. Saban(or any halfway decent coach) isnt the one to provide excuses for his team before a big game.

You can criticize him for double speak if you want to but he had to say that. The team being tired and beat up was the truth as evidenced by the game.

Nice. Well I would make a spinoff satire thread, but I can't even PRETEND to be that butthurt and obsessed about someone's else's coach's meaningless comments.

Only two "tough" games they've had.

And Alabama has played one moderately tough game to a team that got hammered by Florida and Alabama lost that game. What's your point?
