Its usually a pretty good game. Even though we haven't won it in a few years.

This game wouldn't be if not for Saban.
Hopefully this is the last year. It's time for somebody else to have this a while. I'd like to see auburn and LSU be the cbs primetime game. Florida and LSU would be good as well.

When the ratings go down, which they haven't. I think the only other sec game the past several years that's been higher is the iron bowl, and that's not going to be their prime time game

Honestly, even if Alabama keeps beating LSU, I think it could stay the game for a good bit longer.
I think the big draw for this game is the amount of NFL talent on the field. Even though LSU hasn't been in the national title race the last couple of seasons, they are still supremely talented. People around the country tune into this game because it's the closest thing you're going to get to the NFL, in terms of the players.
If LSU can win this year, that'll go a long way for the competitiveness of the series, of course.

Nah the GOTC is why. LSU Florida was in 2007, 2008, and 2009. Then Florida Alabama in 2010 and 2011. That GOTC was a special deal and the second prime time game that season. It's been LSU Bama ever since.

It was Florida-LSU back in the late 2000s before it was Alabama - LSU.
It is always someone and LSU.
Criticize LSU all you want, but the SEC is better when LSU is a very good team. We might not win it every year, but being in the mix always makes things more interesting for the conference on a national level.
