I have DirecTV and have been a subscriber with them for around 15yrs. If they don't pick up the SEC Network I will drop them. UVerse is working in my neighborhood right now and I'd switch to them in a heartbeat.

I will short the stock of the company that doesn't pick it up. Don't frick with SEC fans... we'll go full gump on your arse.

This.
I think the companies like DirecTV (based in California, btw) who are playing hardball on the SECN honestly don't know what type of people they're dealing with. SEC fans aren't exactly the rational "wait and see, give it time" type of folks.

They will all end up carrying it. They would lose MILLIONS of customers if they didn't

I've already checked and Uverse is available in my area. I'll give TWC to Aug 1 and if no announcement I'll switch. I may switch anyway as I hate TWC.

Anyone that switches to Dish. I'll give you my information so we both get $50.

What all are y'all wanting to watch on the SEC Network in the fall that you can't watch on CBS/ABC/ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU? Hell, most of the SEC football games are televised on regular channels.

Comcast is trying to merge with Time Warner. They're not going to make any deals until that is settled one way or another.

many of those ESPN games will be on SEC Net...for example SCu vs TAMU, most of the ESPNU games, that Fox Sports SEC game and the CSS game will all now be on SEC Net

The Arkansas vs. auburn game on 8/31 will be only on SEC NETWORK. the UT game on Sunday night will only be SEC NETWORK. There will be 3 games every weekend that are SEC NETWORK only, nowhere else. No streaming, no alternate channel, no pay per view, nothing.

THIS
Just b/c a Tennessee vs South Carolina game is on one of the ESPN networks doesn't mean a fan in Mississippi or Alabama would rather watch that game instead of State, Ole Miss, Auburn, or Bama vs an OOC team on the SEC network

Recently moved within Oxford and had to switch from DirecTV to AT&T because of this giant oak tree in my front yard - wasnt gonna be able to get HD.
I'll miss Sunday Ticket but glad I dont have to worry with this SEC Network bullshite.

For those of you hyping up uverse, I don't know if you ever had the service but it's over priced and the picture quality is horrible. If you have old coax cable in your neighborhood the picture can get pixelated especially if you watch sports. When players move fast the picture gets blurry especially on h d because they push fiber to neighborhoods at high speed then from the box they transfer the high fiber speed to coaxle which is a horrible idea in general. From there it takes the coax cable to your box. The convertion causes the lag and pixelated picture.

For starters...the opening weekend football games, like pigs @ USC and Utah St. @ Tenn....then at least one big WEEKLY sec clash, for the rest of the season !
That enough for ya ?
