Um maybe Zach Mettenberger

2012 without cam- 58.8 cpt, 2609 yds, 12 td, 7 int, 128.3 rat
2013 with cam- 64.9 pct, 3082 yds, 22 td, 8 int, 171.4 rat

2014 Brandon Harris- 25/45, 452 yds, 6 tds, 175.0 rat
2015 Brandon Harris- ? who knows, he can be the real deal. Went back and watched the State game we lost and even though it was against the 2nd team prevent, he brought a completely different vibe to the team while he was on the field and was a few short plays away bringing us back in only 2 minutes. Not to mention he has a cannon. He did look scared on his first start on the road vs auburn but so did Jamarcus Russell. I blame the coaches for putting him in that position and not getting him enough experience, but he definately has the talent.

I think Harris can be really good. I like him over Jennings and think he can be more creative extending plays when there is a breakdown.

I agree and I think every LSU fan feels the same way. Anthony Jennings is just awful and I think this might be the year he opens up and he gets to sling the ball. If you go back and watch his highlights besides the Auburn game he looked really really good. I guess the moment just got to him

The problem at LSU right now is that both of their guys would be playing a skill position, not QB. They have recruited quarterbacks that pretty much suck.

you aren't totally wrong but i thought steve kragthorpe did a nice job getting as much as they did out of jarrett lee in 2011 before JJ came back, the bama game and subsequent boat rocking

All I know is what I can see with my eyes. I don't believe in hype or what fans may *wish* to be the case. LSU fans are talking about improvement from the QB's from last year to this one. Well, that's not what I have observed regardless of what some coach doing "coach speak" may say.

Last year both LSU QB's were turrible. If any improvement was to made then shouldn't we have at least observed that in LSU's spring game?

Here's the facts.

Jennings has been a lifetime 50% completion pct QB. In LSU's spring game he was exactly what he has always been a 50% QB. He hit about 52% of his passes which is awful!

Harris was even worse. In the spring game he only managed to hit 39% of his passes.

Sorry LSU fans those are not winning statistics nor are they in any way an "improvement". You need to be hitting close to 60% of your passes to be a legitimate threat. Neither of your QB's seem capable of that even with another year under their belt. So where is all this improvement you guys are wishy hopey for?

Let me recheck. I could have sworn up and down those were the correct numbers from your spring game.

Sorry you're right. I got that 39% from LSU's official site of the spring game months back. It must have been a typo later corrected.

Ok so there was some improvement from Harris then. Jennings looks about his usual self though.

Auburn will drop off again. They are so inconsistent.
