In defense of Ole Miss, if the talent fits, play him where ever he fits best, even if it is on both sides. That being said, you are doubling his chances of getting hurt.

From reading practice reports thought, it seems like Nix is experimenting with having Swag Mathews as a hybrid LB/SS in a 4-2-5 look

It does seem like it....but Nutt has stated that we're staying with the 4-3. I figure that's probably bullshite just to throw BYU for a loop in preparations....

I'd like to see us go 4-3 against traditional offenses but throw in the 4-2-5 against spread-option teams......especially with the physicality of Mathews and D. Jackson.

Btw, does anyone know if we've been getting outside more? I know we were in the IPF one day

Nutt is scared shitless of the heat and I would be too. I think he said if the heat keeps up he will try doing half inside and half outside or something. But he doesn't want to risk anyone getting sick.

Champ only played defense and special teams his freshman year. Got in some on offense his soph. year. His junior year (1998) was when he went both ways damn near every game.

I give it a 6.5 out of 10. The extra bump in points is because it took 2 and a half pages for someone to say it. Good post!
