Never going to happen for several reasons much bigger than college football.

Sure. Because ESPN is going to stop broadcasting college football bowl games any minute now.

Honestly, I think we'd be more interested in the unabridged version.

That said, bowl season has been dead for a while. There are way too many to make it both important for the school/fans and interesting for all college football fans. With the 12-team playoff and home game host sites for the first round, the bowls will die. It is a massive investment for sponsors that will not be profitable going forward. Maybe it's the best thing to come out of playoff expansion.

Disney and ESPN have managed to screw up other things so why not college football as well?

It will be interesting to see what advertising sponsors show up for the ESPN invitational.

With a 12 team “playoff” that’s more opportunities to sponsor a playoff.

I think it was Dan Wetzel who tweeted a yearly reminder.

Even the most meaningless bowl games beat some of the biggest college basketball and many NBA games.

From a ratings and product standpoint, CFB has never been bigger.

Have you seen the way that they want to set up the brackets?

Tennessee will never see a playoff slot.

When sponsors stop paying ESPN to broadcast dogshit bowl games, they’ll stop. That’s his point.

Congrats! Is your rectum intact? Did you have to join a gang like Aryan Nation for protection?
