Wonder what this reporter thinks paying for a recruit and his family to visit on multiple occasions (when they might not be able to afford it) is? Ole Miss received additional visits that other schools didn't because.....wait for it......they paid for them to visit.
Do you know the difference in stealing a candy bar from the convenience store and stealing $100,000 from the bank........not a damn thing other than one had bigger goals. Both are thieves. The rules don't say "don't pay players or families, oh unless it's just a little bit". They are written black and white.

Just because no one has caught Bama doing anything in a few months doesn't mean that Bama doesn't cheat every single day. Don't think for one instant that if the shoe were on the other foot, you guys wouldn't try and slam any program that was in trouble. Maybe, just maybe, if the defense from many of your fans hadn't been "we didn't cheat", then maybe folks would let it slide. But message after message came in on this and every other board trying to convince us that Freeze and his team were "pure".
Hate it for you. Do we cheat, hell yes we do as does every other program in college football. But you got caught, and somehow you expect people to simply say "oh, I hate it for those guys....they made a mistake or two"

Reporters are going to spin a story as that publication sees fit. Every school cheats so get over it plus that was such a bad analogy. Ol Miss's problem is they got caught. Don't get caught. The NCAA aren't fools. They let mostly all schools get away with stuff but when academics come into play, they tend to hammer teams because first and foremost players are student athletes. If the business model was any different then they would have to agree to pay players. So if a school wants to pay someone in the shadows then so be it but when you have act fraud or taped evidence then your pretty much fricked.
