To be funny you have to have an element of truth. Go to a game at auburn and you won't find that. Now, had you said Alabama tailgate

Ok, when did Auburn start the marketing push of branding itself a family in the way a small private school would?

Is this guy part of the fambly? Even during Bama's dark days, I never once saw a fan do this.

They show a weird way of being a "family"

This is the second time in four years Auburn has struggled to sell out Jordan Hare and the nation seeing the bull shite they spew about being "all in" being false. I'm shocked not one of their players have come out and talked about being hurt due to getting booed at home.

So, Auburn fans only show up when they've purchased a JUCO player who has been kicked off another team.

I didn't realize Auburn started the football program in 2010.

That is when the family propaganda was in full force.

I seem to remember some of that after 2003 when they almost canned Tuberville?

Yeah, I honestly don't remember hearing that in the 90's and my brother was actually grad school there in 1999-2000.

Of course you did, because before the season, your fans bought into the hype of possibly being a contender for the playoffs. As the season progressed, your fans have struggled to sell out Jordan Hare, including for the IB, where there are tickets still available and having many Bama fans buying them up. And did you watch the UGA game? Plenty of boos showering down. Can't imagine what they're going to do this Saturday.

I don't remember the family rhetoric being mentioned in the 90's or early 2000's either. In fact, I really noticed it being pushed around the time Cheeznip started coaching there.

The other thing that is funny about Auburn's propaganda machine is that it's dual purpose. On one hand they're pumping up their fans, but on the other they spend a lot of time trying to make it seem as though it's "uncool" to be a Bama fan (as if we needed any help lol).

I've seen entire webpages dedicated to taking pictures of ugly/fat/dumb looking Bama fans. Why even waste the time? I've seen hundreds of fat walmart Auburn fans and I really don't even waste the time to give them a second look. Newsflash...whether you're Aub or Bama fan...we live in Alabama and there are rednecks everywhere.

Half of the stupid looking "inbred" Alabama fan pictures I've seen posted in years past are from Auburns white trash bash parties where Aub students dress up like rednecks with alabama shirts on.

It takes a lot of gall to be the big ag school, and where your students literally live in trailers, and you call the business/law/medical school rednecks. That's some serious projection

Lmao...If you live in the south, probably you eat good or have friends that eat well. We all hunt, fish, enjoy and breathe the great country air. So I don't understand the whole Walmart/Sidewalk fans narrative. So if we buy merchandise from Academy or School stores that means we are real fans? Country folks, calling Country folks "Country" go figure.
