Don't have one. The reference is to their cockiness through the good years. I hope that they are represented in Tuscaloosa in two weeks. I've missed them.

I expect Florida to come in extremely focused and looking to make a point, a lot like A&M was against South Carolina. The outcome might be different, but Bama better be ready to play.
why would they not be ready to play?

I didn't think we went anywhere. The same 5 or 6 of us that post have all stopped by to say hi to this thread.

Florida's games with Alabama in 2011 and 2010, the last two regular season meetings, don't necessarily reflect how this game will go.
In 2010, Meyer was coach, UF was using a spread offense with John Brantley at QB - and they outgained Alabama at home, but had two turnovers INSIDE the Alabama 2 yard line, and 3 other turnovers, one for a TD, that made what was a close game a blow out.
In 2011, UF was playing step for step with Alabama before John Brantley got hurt. Once they lost their starting QB, UF crashed and burned that year.
If UF is reasonably healthy, and they don't turn the ball over, the game will be very close.

So what does that supposed to prove? That a high passing % equals alot of TD's? If so, I agree.
No, that the pass efficiency leader in the conference has the worst completion percentage, so there's really little correlation. You can have a lot of TDs without a high completion percentage.

I don't get all the Bama hype? They have looked very mediocre

We almost always look mediocre at this point in the season. And then we thump an SEC opponent that is supposed to give us a good game. That's where the hype comes from.

UF was better on defense than Bama each of the past two years (and yes I'm including last year because UF would've had a better statistical defense than Alabama if not for the offense and injuries).
Wrong!!! Alabama was ranked first in yards allowed and points allowed in 2012 and 2013 among other years, ahead of Florida.

I'll still say I told you so though. Bama's defense will have another week to get everything under control in an easy manor against Southern Miss this weekend. Their defense allows just 8 points per game this season and after 3 games and everyone back completely healthy, they should be in robot mode. They still need a slightly better pass rush, but Florida's starting LT may miss game. I'm a frog btw.
I'm looking for a big bama let down this week. Bama is 2-2 in their last 4 games and Southern Miss is undefeated last week. I'm afraid Golden Eagles have the upper hand in this one.

I agree, and this is a different kind of mediocre than FunkyTide is referring to. Their secondary actually looks worse than it did last season. They will win some games running the ball, but as soon as they play a team that can limit turnovers and throw the ball efficiently, they will struggle to keep up. I don't know if Florida is the kind of team that can do that yet, but we'll have a little better idea after this weekend.

Meh, the secondary in the first game isn't even the same secondary we are playing with now. Eddie Jackson is back and appears to be 100%. He is a 435464535% upgrade over Sylve and now Cyrus moves to #2 CB, which he is more suited for.

That's because our alpha DB, Eddie Jackson, was out the first game, as well as our seasoned signal caller, Trey DePriest.

Bama's passing game isn't strong enough for Saban to rely on it.
The link clearly shows that Sims has one of the highest completion percentages. If that can't relied on, there are many below him that can't be relied on as well.
Please try to keep up.
Yeah he reminds me a lot of Jeff Driskel, weaker arm but they have similar strengths (high %, don't force throws, dangerous runners) and weaknesses (not much deep-- Sims because of arm strength issues, Driskel due to lack of touch).

I predict a qb change by 3rd qt when crowd gets very restless....but it wont help. When our secondary/LBs lock down youyr wrs it will take time to scan the field and there aint gonna be that kind of time
You were right about the QB change, that's about it though

Im not worried..we have a master plan to seed the clouds before the game and produce a huge downpour and set two opposite giant magnets and send electrical currents and game will be called off
Memo to Kermit....alligators love frogs
Memo to Bama fans dreaming about powerful running game: better check the Gators defensive stats since Muschamp has been at UF...even with mediocre offenses the defense has been near the top in SEC def stats...and it all starts with our DL...we will rotate 10 DL in/out of the game to keep fresh legs. Darius Cummings, Leon Orr are loads, add Bryan Cox, Caleb Brantley, Joey Ivie, Jon Bullard (also DE), Dante Fowler (he be coming for your qb like white on rice) Gerald Willis, Neiron Ball and Alex McCallister (6'6" with Clowney type wingspan)
Bama may just find running a little difficult. Our team speed on defense is second to NONE. Boom knows defense. We plan on stacking the box and making young Sims beat us with his arm...I predict a qb change by 3rd qt when crowd gets very restless....but it wont help. When our secondary/LBs lock down youyr wrs it will take time to scan the field and there aint gonna be that kind of time.
Solid. Very solid.
