Yeah, it's hard to judge Sims based on what I've seen. Certainly not near as bad as people made him out to be, but still far from an AJ McCarron.

You went through all that to make that point? Where was that claim made. What was said is?
The link clearly shows that Sims has one of the highest completion percentages. If that can't relied on, there are many below him that can't be relied on as well.
Please try to keep up.

Bama's passing game isn't strong enough for Saban to rely on it.

Yeah, Driskel has a high comp % as well, but threw at least 6bubble screens in gm 1. I know for a fact Sims has thrown a TON of bubble screens. Those are extremely high % throws, and I have only seen corners come up and actually challenge Bama WR's a few times. That will change as Bama plays better D's.

which means absolutely nothing at this point.

Link?
Just because someone posts a stat showing that Sims has a very high completion percentage and passer rating, doesn't come close to supporting your contention that anyone thinks he is the top QB in the SEC/NCAA.
Such a straw man argument. Pretty typical though.

I think UF will give bama all they want....and then some.

Well it has been used as a means to argue that he is several times now.

I dont think you know what this means

Yet someone can just throw aout the comment that he can't be relied on and that carries more weight than what he has actually done on the field. Makes sense.
Link is from the same site you posted....so...
Actually completion percentage is important in the passing game, but OK.

Let's take a step back and watch the Aubies take care of this.

Then I guess you can point to just one instance where someone has argued he is the top QB in the SEC/NCAA?

I know exactly what it means. You present the straw man argument that some Bama fans believe Sims is the top QB in the SEC/NCAA (which no Bama fan actually believes - thus it is a straw man argument) and then argue against it. Pretty typical for you.

I could complete 75% throwing screens all day long. That will not consistently work against a good D......which UF has.

You are right, it is none of your business.

not when you have thrown only a few passes in the season. Lets play your game. So do you think Onterio Mccalleb was a better RB than Trent Richardson? using your logic he was much better.
Its pretty comical that many of yall are using one of the most meaningless stats for QB's at this point to proclaim his worth

your shtick has grown tiresome

So if I showed you a thread were a bama fan used this stat and said he was top in the NCAA to proclaim his worth, would that suffice?

You and the rest of us would likely trip over our own feet as soon as the ball was snapped in a division 1 college game.

Agreed. I think Alabama will turn to the running game, which should be pretty formidable. Also expect more passes to RBs, slot receivers, and TEs that are matched up with LBs and safeties, rather than test Florida's really good corners.
Alabama is going to be a running football team this year. That's what they will live and die by. However, Sims has been better than a lot expected thus far, even against weaker competition. Possibly good enough to effectively complement a strong running game ala McElroy - 2009, McCarron - 2011. It's unknown at this time for sure.
