The better question would be when is the best time for Spurrier to sell the reigns while they are still hot?

IMHO. :pleasedontletussuckagain:

he said today in his press conference that he wouldn't mind coaching HS once he's done here.

I would love more than anything to see him give shite to those high school QBs and their parents

and the way Foley handled the Darnell Dockett incident didn't help either. I have always wondered if Foley retires does UF hire Spurrier (if he even takes the job) for AD just to have a big name in the program while UF looks for the more well rounded AD to take the reigns.

I am going to say this, and then get shite for it for the rest of the thread.

I am more impressed with what Spurrier has done at USC than with what Saban has done at Alabama.

He owns a beautiful Beach home in St Augustine (Crescent Beach, actually) He spends much of his free time there as does Bob Stoops. I think he will retire there where he and his wife are treated as locals.

I own a small place nearby and he is a regular.

One could make a convincing argument with that position.

I doubt it. Hopefully Foley has groomed a few people who are capable of taking over when that day comes.

I think a lot of UF fans are waiting for the day he retires so he can come and be involved with UF again in some way.
