it's just wierd to have so much pride in the school you didn't attend over the one you got your degree from

I'm from Biloxi and can only name a few people I grew up with that were fans of one team the entire time I knew them. The rest were bandwagoners.

genro went to Alabama, and even if he didn't, I wouldn't be upset with someone like HIM being a sidewalk fan. It's the other ones that we don't like

I don't think you want to get in a match of "who has the most pics of a gay arse fanbase"

No problem at all - even for smack talk I think it's perfectly normal and even expected for alums and non-alums to be able to trade some friendly game-time smack talk.

Academics are a different story. Don't talk trash about academics at my school (auburn is just a dumb cow college/agricultural school ha ha ha) and tout the school you're a fan of if you didn't even go there. Sadly, I've seen this before IRL and on the rant.

I never attended Alabama, but my dad graduated from there and I grew up going to games. I planned on going there and majoring in accounting, but I started dating my wife our senior year of high school and I followed her to Troy State (now Toy University) after researching their accounting program and finding out it was very good at that time. In your mind does this make me a sidewalk fan unworthy to cheer for the team I grew up following?

The OP and people like him would laugh snobbishly at your fandom and then have their butler spit on you.

Some of you look at the legitimacy of others' fanhood way too seriously I would much rather talk to a sidewalk fan who knows football/basketball fairly well than a dumbass who attended the school who knows nothing about the sports just giving totally biased opinions.

Let's see... I already have a witness. (someone on here I know IRL)

If I upload a pic of my old student ID, will you perma-ban yourself from all of TD?

Sidewalk fans are fine. No one in my immediate family attended LSU.

It's when an Alabama sidewalker pretends he better than someone like a State, Ole Miss, LSU, etc. grad. That's when they should DIAF.

Yep. That's the way this online accusation stuff works right? I just corroborated his story for no particular reason since you're throwing out baseless shite (as per your usual.)

Don't care until it comes to:

1. Academic smack.
2. Supporting the school you actually went to. You don't get to talk shite about the school you didn't go to but support and ignore your real school and then talk shite about your real school too when they start doing good.
3. True bandwagon fans who use the term "we"

Well then I don't give a shite.

Give me some reason to do it other than to please some anonymous pathetic piece of shite.

Like, say, getting that anonymous pathetic piece of shite to go away for a while
