I definitely would not vote for Oxford. The alcohol nazis aka the popo make it suck. I will say though I did enough my chicken on a stick.

Ole Miss for the women, LSU for the food.
1) Ole Miss for women/tailgating
2) LSU for food/tailgating
3) Athens for bars
4) Auburn for small town Family atmosphere
5) Vandy for big city downtown campus atmosphere
6) Florida for proximity to a beach
7) Tennessee for butt chugging
8) A&M for other butt stuff
9) Missouri for a Big12 atmosphere
10) Kentucky if you are trying to tailgate for a basketball game
11) South Carolina if you are looking for a screaming lunatic
12) Arkansas if you are trying to avoid Starkville
13) Starkville if your trying to avoid Tuscaloosa
I think that covers them all

I was on the UGA campus recently.
It is nice but it is very hilly, and a skinny long campus. Kind of an odd layout in my view.
I vote for UGA considering both campus and college town, and the college town immediately adjacent to the campus.
Based on google maps, I think the MSU campus is at least top 3. The main con is the college town area isn't right next to campus, although the Cotton District isn't too far. MSU has more unique architecture in my view, no greek columns and other pretentious looking buildings, and well landscaped.

i visited Athens, on the way to Atlanta, so that I would not be stuck on interstate during rush hour. Just killed some time in Athens.
it cracks me up how people mock me for looking at google maps street view as though you don't do that too. lol
Shouldn't you get back to your weepy monologues about ole Sewanee and how it touched your heart.

Other than the obvious answer, Williams Brice, I'm particularly fond of UGA, LSU and I'd love to take in a game at aTm one day soon.
ETA: Tillman..do you actually ever physically go anywhere or are your 'travels' strictly limited to google Earth? Serious question.

This really depends on what you are looking for.
A. True college towns and beautiful campuses would be State, OM, AUBURN and maybe UGA (although Athens is not really a town anymore)
B. Mid-size cities w/campuses that are more urban
TXA&M, ARK, FL, MO, BAMA.
C. Large cities w/campuses surrounded by a metropolitan area
VANDY, UK, UT, USC and LSU
Depending on what you are looking for will determine what you like the best. All have their advantages. None of the campuses and towns are bad. I think all are good in their own unique way. Part of what makes the SEC FUN.

I just posted this on our board tonight when the news clip came out -- Relating to the main street through UT's campus (Cumberland Ave) that has the bars/restaurants/housing etc on it. It's looked like shite for years and been long over due.
I'll be curious to get the guys who visit Knoxville this seasons opinion on the changes to campus (UGA, USC, LSU, VU fans)
LINK
UGA and VU would be my choices fwiw. Athens and Nashville are both great cities. I'd like to check out Arkansas. It looks like a great visit as well

After a long 2 years of construction the city finally expects to finish up the nearly 17 million dollar project by the end of August -- Just in time for football season. The rennovated Cumberland Ave will actually be a selling point for the University instead of a major eye sore for the first time in a long time

i just specifically stated that i visited athens and uga in person.
does a person like you who lives in a rural town like New Ellenton travel much?
Serious question.
you living in podunk America but act like you are more well traveled than me. lol
I doubt most fans of SEC schools have even been to most or all of these college towns.

I see you still have not gotten the number of Rhodes Scholars who went to Clempson yet. Not surprised you are avoiding the issue by deflecting as it reveals your alter status and lack of actually being a Tater grad, much less one from the ENG dept. Tell me again how much better that Tater degree is to a Bumble one?

i like athens the best but it sucked getting spit on constantly every day for 4 years

Horndog Bill Clinton was a Rhodes Scholar, what is the big deal? lol
never had a single company ask me at a job interview if I was a Rhodes Scholar. lol
Why don't you stick to the topic of the thread for a change. This is about campuses, not me.

University of Kentucky
There is no more beautiful area in the conference with the horse farms. Easily my favorite sec road trip especially in October when horses are running at Keeneland

Nobody has been to Fayetteville.
It's cool with me, though. Put us at the bottom of all your lists.
Too got-damn many people are moving here anyway.
