I'm tired of having to defend SEC OOC scheduling on other boards only to people point at UF.
I can defend the scrubs of the SEC like Vanderbilt and Kentucky but I can't defend Florida's two decades of mediocrity.
The state of Florida has 4 other BCS conference schools UF can play OOC. Also 2 other FBS schools.
Again UF is always in the top 25 for SOS. Chances are who ever is bashing UF OOC is lower than UF.
Oh look UF is higher than LSU

Florida steps out of its state. What happens?
41-11
Must be why you guys don't venture out of the state very often.

A great SOS is awesome as long as you can win the games on it.

We stepped out of the state in 1993.
October 9, 1993 Baton Rouge, LA
Florida 58–3
Plus I do believe that Les Miles is the one whining about having UF on the schedule every year. Not Muschamp.
Tell Les to quit whining.

Sorry we have a natural rival in our backyard. When you go down our schedule, we still play as many legit games as Bama, LSU, and UT. Deal with it.
I'm not taking up for UF but a lotta people don't understand the deal with UGA & UF having a permanent OOC game PLUS the Neutral game in Jax every year. With UGA we're willing to play 6 game home schedules 4-5 times every 10 year cycle. UF's policy is they have to have 7 home games a year minimum( except when they play Miami) so playing anyone H&H is near impossible...
UGA has 3 home(+ 1 in Jax) SEC games(+4 SEC road) in even years + GT at home, that leaves 3 games to schedule 7 home games...
UGA has 4 home SEC games(+4 SEC road games) in odd years + GT on the road, that leaves 3 games to schedule 7 home games....
If UGA plays Clemson, ASU, oSu H&H, 1 year we only have 6 home games with 7 the next...
UF is in the same boat except they refuse to play less than 7 games at home, where as UGA will play a H&H & only have 6 home games...

Even though the link has been posted proving the fact that UF has a tougher schedule than LSU. You still proceed with your nonsense.

You lose by 45 on National TV broadcast...it's hard to get worse than that. Wish we had stayed in state and played MTSU or Memphis now...

So you justify not leaving home because you play one team that had some championships two decades ago?
Grow some nuts.
I agree with the Florida fans. Georgia hasn't gone away, and Tennessee was good not too long ago. Additionally, Florida has to play LSU annually. Florida used to have Auburn as a second cross-division rival. On top of that, Florida had to play Florida State or Miami annually. That's 6 legit programs a decade ago.

I know FSU and Miami are traditional non-conferenc rivals, but 22 years?? We're talking a quarter of a century without playing an out of state nonceference game.
why leave? Florida usually plays a much stronger OOC schedule than any other SEC team. That anyone would call out their OOC scheduling is dumb.

Exactly, only a maniacal idiot would schedule @ Eugene Oregon and @ Gainesville in back to back weeks. That is just plain stupid.
