Moral of the story: don't have Oregon on your schedule unless you have top 5 defense in the nation. frick you Mike Hamilton.

So you honestly are not surprised they haven't left their state for an OOC game in 20+ years?

Yes, it is surprising but when you think of the quality years FSU and Miami had in the 90's and early 00's its not all that surprising that they just kept it going.

I've always hated this "YOUR GAMES ARE CLOSE TO HOME" argument. Would Florida's schedule be more difficult if they played @ Nebraska or @ Illinois instead of @ Miami or @ Florida State?

Judge a schedule by the diffculty it presents, not the state in which the school being played is located.

Name one other program that has two programs with the stature of FSU and Miami outside their conference but in the same state. No? STFU.

Hey stupid, how about Texas and USC?

Damn you people are huge apologizers.

Are you not aware of the large body of research being done in the NFL, for instance, looking at the effect of kick times on west coast teams traveling to the east coast? It does matter, just not enough to talk about how scared Florida is all the time.

No?

STFU.

Well, recently, Miami hasn't been very good. Also the other 2 states with that many FBS teams were in the same conference, until A&M departed.

Care to name the opponents of Texas and USC which compare to the historical power of FSU and Miami?

When you know what you're talking about, it isn't apologizing, it's acknowledging. You stupid LSU whiners just hate on everybody.

UF has rigged the BCS computers to weight instate OOC opponents more than out of state. That is why UF is consistently top 25 in SOS

You have to understand the theory behind all that is UF. They are spineless. P.S. They also wear jorts, mullets and can be seen regularly at flea markets all over north Florida.

Hey ignorant leghumper. We'll trade you FSU every year for Georgia Tech?
None of the teams in the SEC have to play and OOC opponent every single year with the talent that FSU has. Other than maybe the Chickens. FSU in the 90's were a powerhouse. And with the recruiting, they've been doing. They are on their way back to being a powerhouse. So we'll gladly trade you FSU for GT.

"Historical power"?

Miami and FSU have sucked for the better part of a decade. Jut in the past year have they started to put together decent resumes.

I'm talking about ten years and you tell me they are all ranked this year?

Eta: Florida should be ashamed if itself for not leaving the state unless its a conference game for almost a quarter of a century.

Thats what I think most don't understand if Florida beats FSU and Miami in the same year that is HUGE for recruiting. Especially in a recruiting hot bed like FLA.

All I am saying is just because they weren't winning NC's and constantly in the top ten doesn't make them not a quality opponent.

I know FSU and Miami are traditional non-conferenc rivals, but 22 years?? We're talking a quarter of a century without playing an out of state nonceference game.

Getting destroyed by Oregon is worse than playing FSU and Miami.

Both these programs could make a strong case for being stronger than LSU over the last 30 years.
