Our defense is lightyears better, particularly the secondary. I do think our offense took a bit of a step back. Williams is no Collins and our O-line has been suspect, but Austin is probably better than Brandon. 3 starts in and he's doing what took Brandon 3 years to do. We also started off this year playing on a higher level. Week 1 was rough but LA Tech is a solid football team with a good coach. TCU obviously is better than anyone we've beaten within the first 3 weeks since Bert's been here. The only question remaining is how high of a ceiling this team has. Last year our team was REALLY good at the end of the season. If we progress as the season goes on like we have the past two, we'll be kicking the dogshit out of people.

Arkansas has past Auburn in football, and it's not even close anymore.

Auburn is approaching Kentucky football status.

This, I'm not doing any bragging or boasting until this game is over with. I have the opinion that we need to get an SEC win or two under our belts before we know exactly what we have. There are still several games left on our schedule that are toss ups IMHO and this is one of them.

I wouldn't go that far.

Defense is most definitely better, our front four has been able to control the line of scrimmage this year vs last year. This has allowed our linebackers to really be free against the run and the pass, in fact they've already got a pick 6 and another interception with several more that were almost picked. This has changed the look of our secondary, it's getting better and better which was severely needed.

Our offense is loaded at wideouts and there has been little to no drop off to date at QB. Austin has some guts and has that winning mentality. We are rotating RTackle so it's not great but overall run game seems the same and passing game has more weapons. Mainly the D is much improved and the offense is close to the same.

You're not getting Bert when your high school coach gets fired.
