Bockrath also changed the logo the teams used. So glad we got rid of that!

Yes. The mouse in the A.

Now I'm getting pissed off again re-living all these awful memories of that jackass.

Concentrating all of its efforts in basketball while the rest of the conference couldn't have cared less about the sport.

Refusing to fire/forcibly retire Adolph Rupp in '53 when the point shaving/NCAA violations came to light.

Instituting idiotic recruiting standards requiring the majority of UK football players be in-state recruits (related to the above-mentioned NCAA scandal) and following it for years.

Allowing most of the SEC to far out-pace UK's football facilities and budget.

Naming the football field after the worst AD that the football program has ever endured.

This list could get pretty long, actually.

-Not pushing Dooley out the door and hiring Erk instead.
-Being a jerk to Erk and not bringing him back after Dooley left.
-Hiring Michael Adams as president who started this bs about us only caring about the bottom dollar.

Steve Sloan stopped it in the 80's if I'm not mistaken.

Bockrath brought it back in 96, then ran Stallings off and hired Dubose.

That cannot be right because we had it when I was there in the early 90s

The "yes to Texas A&M University" vote was cast by university presidents and chancellors; not by the ADs.
And it was unanimous.

Well there's that whole Jetgate incident but that had more to do with Bobby Lowder being a dick. Terry Bowden is probably the worst coach in Auburn history. I'm sure there is a long list of bad hires/decisions made that Im not thinking of.

As an Arkansas fan, I don't even wanna go there. Our mistakes are legendary and I wouldn't even know where to begin.

Maybe my memory is fuzzy. First time I can recall doing it at a game was the 96 game at LSU. I can vaguely remember hearing it at games in the early 80's.

Why? You want LSU to be paid less in TV money every year than your average ACC team?

Just to mention a few:

1. Firing Lou Holtz while he was in his prime.
2. Not hiring Jimmy Johnson when he wanted the job.
3. Running off Ken Hatfield and hastily hiring his new OC to replace him.
4. Firing Jack Crowe 1 game into our inaugural year in the SEC, before he'd even coached a SEC game, yet.
