So we've got one State fan in this thread saying the platoon system was shite and another saying it's the reason they'll be good.

No, we all agree on this. It was absolute shite in the moment, but will helps us down the road. Make since? We got a lot of young players time, so we aren't super inexperienced this year. However, when they were in we usually gave up big plays.

Kidding aside, you are a special one if you believe anything like that.

You must be a vegetable if you think any of us are going to jump at the chance to defend Jordan Jefferson

Everyone is overlooking them with all the players who graduated/draft, Ar-Kansas on the rise, Auburn reloaded, LSU a mediocre QB play away from the favorite.

Perfect situation comming off last season so the hype doesn't implode the team before mid season.

That's two threads in a row I've seen you hating on ole miss. Why do you think we will regress so much and why do you think hugh freeze is just an average coach? Not disagreeing or flaming I honestly want your opinion

Edit: just looked and your last three posts have been in 3 different threads all about ole miss... Deer Lowered

They will beat lsu on the way to a 8-4 or at topsa 9-3type season. They wont be nearly as bad as most are saying / thinking.

That's... not a bad prediction.

State is one of those West teams that could be fairly good and have a very average record, or they could be really good and contend for the West.

7-8 wins would be my pick but they have to get past Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl. Freeze is hard enough to recruit against as is, if he wins that game again he's going to be tough to beat on the recruiting trail.

1. Safety is a major concern. Most are expecting a true freshman (Jamal Peters) to be starting here soon.

2. DL will be good, but depth is a concern this year.

3. LBs are deep as hell and will be the strength of the defense.

4. OL will be fine.

5. WRs are the deepest we've had since I can remember.

6. QB - one of, if not the best in the league.

7. RB will be committee at first and will have some new names. State has always had a good RB as long as I've followed them. Mullen has had four different 1,000 yard rushers (Dixon, Ballard, Perkins, & Robinson). Not worried here and remember the name D. Lee.

My best guess is 9-3. Losses @ Auburn, @ Mizzou, & @ Arkansas.

Losses to bama, arkansas, auburn and ole miss for sure. Toss ups are A&M (edge to A&M), Lsu (edge to miss st) and mizzou

I'm gonna say 7-5 MAYBE 8-4 but no better than that. Which is a great season for miss st. Last year will not be come the norm, but they def aren't the team the used to be in the early 2000s-2008ish

State is 1-20 against LSU in recent history. Of course they would expect the win last year to be the norm now. May want to win more than 1 in a row before you continue patting yourselves on the backs.
