(we were not south campus people- south campus is generally ugly).

So basically you'll never make good money?

By the way,

I'm a South Campus graduate and South Campus is awesome.

North campus you have the law school and business school alone that will make more than most on south campus.

We are both poor though.

Westboro Baptist Church held a "rally" (not even sure why they were there) between the science center & the quad my freshman year in 2005. It was rather terrifying seeing people act so barbaric and delusional. Other than that I don't remember seeing anything too strange. 3 guys use to dress up in super hero costumes and run around during freshmen orientation. Not all that strange but a little funny.

I once saw a Heisman winner ring a cowbell

but the strangest thing at MSU is that we host the Grant Presidential Library. Right next to Lee Hall.

This thread. This thread is the strangest thing I've found on campus

Actually, I'm just surprised these are the best things you guys can come up with. I had male professors who wore dresses and cooked meth, among other things. College campuses must be really boring today.

In '72-'73 I worked for the Vet School's Laboratory Animal Research Center. I fed row after row of rodents of all sizes in cages floor to ceiling. White mice, rats, hamsters, guinea pigs etc. The strangest thing I ever saw on campus was in the small room behind all the cages.

In a couple of wire crates like you might transport a dog in, were two bunny rabbits. Simple floppy eared bunny rabbits. Just like the kind you might give your kid for Easter. Only light brown and the size of German Shepherds.

Art Building’s Hidden Room

quote:

Did you know that there is a fourth floor of the three-story art building? Wait, a fourth floor in a three-story building? How can this be?

The art building itself isn’t the typical campus building. It only has three flights of stairs, but approaching the third floor of the art building, there is a narrow ladder leading to a little hole in the roof. It is easily overlooked because the ladder is in a corner behind a water fountain.

When I first discovered this treasure, my friend and I were taking a break from our long three-hour studio when we noticed the ladder. Of course, curiosity got the best of us, and we couldn’t resist climbing the ladder to see where exactly it led to. Once we reached the top, we crawled into a room that is covered in glass from broken mirrors, dust, roof tiles, and other miscellaneous objects. The walls are covered in graffiti, and the light leaking from the massive windows definitely created an interesting composition for photos. We thought it was the coolest little room, and being photography majors, naturally our first instinct was to take pictures. We soon came to realize that this room is no stranger amongst the rest of the art students and has served as an important part of many projects.

“No one is really sure why it’s there or what it was used for,” said Blake Cochran, a graphic design major.

The photos below were taken more recently and now the floor in this room is now cleaned up, and it’s appearance tends to look more sanitary. Every now and then, there are new “props,” random objects, or signs that mark the traces of the previous person exploring.

I was once sitting in a class in a large auditorium. 10 or so guys in banana costumes came storming through, yelling their heads off. As they left, someone in a gorilla suit ran in, asked which way they went, then went off chasing the bananas.
